This feisty gunpowder green tea is blended with lime peel, apples, pineapple and natural fruit essence. It’s delicious hot or cold, and even more delicious as a martini. To impress your date, add four teaspoons of Lime Bang leaves to two cups of gin and let it infuse for two hours. Then shake with ice and serve. Stir in a little agave sugar if you want a smoother bang. Garnish with mint or lime peel.

Tried this in-store today. I still think they boil the water too hot so the green got a little scalded, but otherwise it was tasty! The lime taste is not as bold as the smell – I was expecting to be hit in the mouth with limeade and totally wasn’t. A smooth, earthy drink with a lime tang that isn’t too sweet. Leaves a lingering aftertaste that reminds me of summer and carnivals, but I can’t quite put my finger on exact what it is. May pick up a bag of this, I haven’t quite decided.
Saved the bag, so I think I’ll go for another steep.
Again, it’s one of those fruity greens I like. Not as sweet as some, it’s a very rounded flavour, with the lime, pineapple and apple not as sweet as you would think. The green underneath is nice and smooth, and it’s never been bitter. A very pleasant tea.
Drank this one this morning in my new glass mug… This mug lets the tea float around, and has an infused at the top so you don’t drink the leaves. This tea is so pretty to look at!! It also tastes amazing, like a key-lime pie :)
I was so excited to try this tea, followed the instructions exactly and it tasted like…water. Or really weak green tea. I admit I only tried it hot but I’m not too excited to try the iced version. Very disappointing:(
When I first smelled this tea, I loved it. I bought 50g of it. Upon brewing, it still smells great, but something is off. It tastes almost smokey or burnt, maybe from overroasting? It puts me off, especially if I let it steep for more than 4 minutes. I’ve tried different combinations of water temperatures and steep times, but I can’t find anything that makes it too appealing when consumed hot. When it cools down, however, I find it tastes much better. There also seems to be a lot of dust and bits coming off this tea compared to others in my collection. Anyhow, I’ll finish the bag I have, but won’t buy again!
i’m sad this tea got discontinued, replaced by Lime Gelato (a worthy contender, but…), not before i ordered a tin online, silently rejoicing as it had been popping off and on the website for a few weeks before it was gone for good. i know it’s just the idea of gunpowder over ‘regular’ green tea that makes me love it so much more (i’m a sucker for pretty packaging/great names), but this is definitely a tea to savour. an excellent green tea flavour with those hints of apple and lime. perfect for my tastes! and good for a re-steep, or two if i’m lucky.
