From DAVIDsTEA

Discover the power of vanilla and oolong, with a little hint of orange. It’s temptingly rich. We’ve used Pouchong tea leaves, the least oxidized of oolongs. Which means that it’s almost as high in antioxidants as green tea. A lucky thing, because this tea is really quite addictive. Who would have thought that something this smooth and creamy could be so healthy?

Ingredients: Taiwanese pouchong oolong tea, green tea, lemon myrtle, marigolds.

Holy moly. Another first for me – I heard a lot about oolong and really wanted to try it out and see for myself.

Mmmm! I LOVE it! So yuummmmy! I am definitely going to go out and get some more next time I take a trip to Davids Tea. I got about 15 grams of this just to try out. I can also get about 3 infusions out of 1 teaspoon, so thats a plus for me too! Awesome :D

I received this tea as a sampler in my order.

I think this is going to be one of my favorites and I am definately going to have to order 100g of this one! It is subtle but flavorful at the same time. i like the hint of vanilla and can only think of what a dash of milk and a little agave would do with this.

I think I am going to have to try with the rest of my sample. Will definately be ordering this one!

This was just OK, at first. I thought it tasted like latex party balloons – the kind you blow up with your mouth, or fill with helium. After getting the Breville One-Touch Tea Maker and brewing it the right way, I now find oolongs pretty great.

Combining two great things, what could go wrong? Vanilla and Oolong nicely blended together in a sweet and creamy tea. This one could probably kill my vanilla ice cream cravins despite it being hot and without the brain freezes! Another great tea DAVIDsTEA!

I’m just having this for the first time & I’m pleasantly surprised! Based on the fragrance, I wasn’t sure whether I would like this. It’s a bit odd & not like other vanillas I’ve tried. I have to say though, this is the best tasting vanilla I’ve had in a tea. Very creamy & very smooth (even before I added the milk). With other teas, I’ve enjoyed the vanilla fragrance & then been disappointed by the flavour. I can see myself having this in a latte for sure.
I steeped this for about 6.5 minutes as recommended on the bag & on first steep I haven’t been able to detect any citrus.

I am trying this tea for the first time this morning, and so far I am quite enjoying it. It is my first oolong, and it was absolutely the vanilla that pulled me in. I am a sucker for vanilla.

The dry smell packs a lot of punch in the vanilla department, almost too much? I found it had less intensity while steeping, which I think is a good thing.

It tastes very much like vanilla, and I can’t say that I am getting any hints of orange like they suggest. It is very very smooth, which I appreciate, and I get the most vanilla flavour immediately after swallowing. As this is my first oolong, I can’t really speak to that flavour right now. I am looking forward to picking up an unflavoured one.

This is a tea that I think I will definitely purchase again, but I probably won’t be really anxious about making sure I never run out.

I don’t really taste the vanilla; I find the smell reminiscent of something more heavy and floral. Perhaps the marigold petals are responsible for this? Usually I find that, over time, teas grow on me and I enjoy them more with every steep, but the trend seems to be opposite with this one; I enjoyed it the first time but am finding that I like it less and less. The taste is not very strong, but somehow there is a thickness to Vanilla Oolong that I would have liked to have been balanced out with a lighter note in this tea.
