This is way better than I thought it would be. I guess I have that idea that if it’s rooibos, I probably won’t like it mindset, when the reality is that I’ve not really had a lot of rooibos blends lately that I’ve disliked.

The blueberry flavor is strong here, and it has a nice creamy taste in the background. The rooibos and honeybush compliment each other well. Well balanced, flavorful. Really tasty!

Tea Forte’s Blueberry Merlot might be nice along side the Cheesecake. Sorry, one drink too many. Punning.

(BACKLOG) This is quite good! Thank you to Jaime for the little sample! The smell is overwhelming at first! BLUEBERRY, BLUEBERRY, BLUEBERRY! I love the taste of blueberries and this definitely satisfied my need for a blueberry fix. I don’t know if I could taste the cheesecake, but more of a sour/odd flavor in the background. I was on the verge of saying “no” to the background taste.. but it makes it a bit more interesting. I suppose that I was concentrating on the sweet smell, taste and the blueberries and gulped it down too fast. I think I’ll have to try this one again (SLOWER this time) to see if I can get more of the cheesecake taste and not the cheesy-sour note. This is a pleasant dessert tea that requires no added sweetener. Yum!

The deep woodsy flavors of the Rooibos and Honeybush ended up dominating this blend. While I’ve come to appreciate these notes more over the past few years I still tend to prefer blends where they are a bit more subtle. Beyond that there was a tartness to this blend that didn’t quite taste like blueberry, but rather a generic tart berry flavor. I was hoping for a a nice balance of sweet and tart from the blueberry, there are a number of teas that fit that bill, but unfortunately this one didn’t quite live up to other blueberry flavored teas that I’ve had. What was missing entirely were the sweet and creamy flavors of cheesecake. Even the addition of some German rock sugar couldn’t coax them out, leaving me incredibly disappointed in this blend.

A nice tasty treat, smooth with just enough blueberry and vanilla to suggest its namesake, quite nice
