20 Tasting Notes
Almost forgot how much I LOVED this tea until I was cleaning out the tea cupboard this morning. It is absolute heaven iced, haven’t tried it hot. But it’s definitely one of my favorites. As I use stevia to sweeten almost everything I eat I don’t even notice it. Much better for you then using Splenda or sugar twin! definitely a nice treat. :)
Preparation
This tea definitely smells a lot sweeter then it tastes. When I first smelt it at the store I didn’t think it would have such a bitter taste to it. The girl also told me that she usually uses a TON of sweetener in her teas but for this one she doesn’t need too. That wasn’t the case for me.. Haven’t tried it hot, but I don’t think I’d recommend it on ice.
I Instantly fell in LOVE with this tea the moment I first tried it. I found that when making enough for two I tend to overload the tea into the steeper but it only made the tea that much better! it works out perfectly actually because my mother likes her tea a bit more watered down so i would take the bottom tea from the steeper and she would take the top! definitely recommend this for the fruit tea lovers :)
I tested pink lemonade at the David’s Tea in my town and didn’t like it. Maybe it was the way it was prepared but I ended up having it at a friends and absolutely fell in love with it. However, i think it is an acquired taste you must have because a few of my friends don’t enjoy it as much as I do! definitely a tea I would have with my vodka.. :)
I bought this tea a few days after it came out and after my first cup I thought that I would end up getting sick of it.. But I haven’t yet and I’ve gone through two tins! Some say the flavour is overwhelming maybe I don’t find it too overwhelming because I am such a huge fan of the dessert teas :)
This is by far my favourite new winter tea! If you enjoy red velvet cake and other rich dessert teas then you will absolutely enjoy this. I would recommend that you do not leave it to steep too long though because it will end up tasting bitter like most dessert teas. :
