This tea sounds so perfectly delicious. I love mint, I love chocolate, I love peppermint hot chocolate so much it hurts…
Sadly, the tea only really delivers on the ‘mint’ part of the promise…

I have drunk this 4 or 5 times now, and recently I drank it next to Teavana’s White chocolate peppermint.
White Chocolate frost is all mint, with the slightest hint of chocolate, and an odd greasy layer.
The Teavana version delivered much better on the chocolate.

It’s too bad. I really wanted to love this tea….

I drank this head to head with David’s Tea ‘White chocolate frost’, and surprisingly, I liked this better! The chocolate taste and creaminess are much stronger in this tea, making it more harmonious. It does taste strongly of peppermint, but not as strongly.

Overall I really enjoy this tea. The only downside, is the chocolate or something clogs my strainer, and hardens to the side of my cup. It’s gross to clean. Oh, and the oily layer on top of the tea can be offputting.

I did get 2 good steepings out of this!

drank Toasted Walnut by DAVIDsTEA
60 tasting notes

This is one tea I always have in my cupboard. It’s not the most exciting tea, but it is always good.
It’s ncie to have a flavored tea where you can actually taste the tea. So the green tea taste comes through clearly, then it is accented by a slight creamy nuttiness, and a gentle sweetness. I can’t taste the flavor of pineapple, just the sweetness it adds.

Overall it’s mildly flavored, and slightly sweet, but just quietly delicious….

drank Happy Kombucha by DAVIDsTEA
60 tasting notes

This is an Oolong for people who like black tea. I loathe black tea and I can’t get beyond that.
I can taste the pineapple and mango, and the kombucha adds an interesting note. I like kombucha somewhat, but I know some people find it gross.

This is a tea to sample, don’t buy it till you’ve tried it.
Blech….

drank Mango Lassi by DAVIDsTEA
60 tasting notes

I am not a huge fan of chamomile. I don’t actively dislike it, but I would never reach for it. But Mango Lassi seems to take all the good parts of chamolmile, and add something special. I really like this tea. The flavor is predominantly chamomile, but with a soft sweet background, almost like candy.
It makes for a sweet tasty combination.

Surprisingly the mango is not at all prominent!

drank Chai On Life by DAVIDsTEA

This is a beautiful tea. It is one of the most balanced and harmonious chai’s I have come across. The most pronounced flavor is cardamon, but it is not in any way over powering.
I can’t taste the coconut, but it does give the tea a beautiful rich mouth feel.
The black pepper is completely undetectable.

It’s rare to find a good chai that is NOT a black tea, so this tea is the perfect chai for me!

This tea has very similar flavors to Chocolate Bana’s foster, and David’s tea’s discontinued Banana Bread.
I guess my hopes were too high, this tea is BLAND and boring.
It’s red rooibos with dried bananas.
That’s it. That’s what it tastes like. There no depth, no sweetness, no complexity.
I mean, it’s drinkable….

drank Cherry Blossom by DAVIDsTEA

1. 90C 4min
Smells lovely like a slightly artificial cherry with a soft floral background

This is very in your face floral. It taste’s like flowers, not even like cherry blossoms though a less distinct and more artificial floral taste.
Admittedly though, mine was brewed way too strong! I would either reduce the brew time or put in less tea for next time.
Hiding behind the overt floral is this faint sweet cherry flavor that I think is really delicious.
The cherry actually tastes like real cherries, sweet a little bit tart and really beautiful.

If I could find a way to cut down of the harsh floral over tones and enhance the cherry I would really like this tea.

Also, the added flavors are so long any ‘white tea’ taste is completely lost.

So I let my first cup go cold – and OMG it was delicious! The first sip still is still in your face floral but then it softens into Sweet tart cherry with just a soft gentle floral background. The cherry doesn’t taste at all artificial, really tart and juicy, like a good unsweetened dried cherry.
Maybe this tea is not meant to be hot…
Seriously cold has completely changed my opinion!

I can’t taste the coconut at all, but there seems to be very little in my pouch (I noticed one piece so far).

2. 83C 5min
oops, let the water get too cold, so re-brewed at a very low 83C.

Now I can finally taste the green tea, as a backdrop to the floral taste. The floral notes are vaguely rose.
The cherry is only detectable as a slight aftertaste.

3. Unknown temperature, 6 minutes
Best cup yet. I can really taste the green tea, and now the floral component is just soft and delicate with a hint of cherry.
If every cup was like this i would be a huge fan of this tea!

Conclusion: For a floral tea, this is very nice. It’s not overly artificial and the cherry flavors are delicious. BUT It really is a floral tea, and the white tea component is completely over powered by the other flavors.

drank Spiced Apple Cider by Teavana
60 tasting notes

This tisane is delicious. When brewed right it taste’s precisely like apple cider. It’s a potent tea, which is good but surprising since most Teavana teas tend to be weak.
The taste is strongly of apple and cinnamon. The cinnamon tastes like cheap quality; giving the tea a very bitter back.
Really though, It tastes like an overly spiced cup of cider.
I love it, a strong punch of flavor, but I really love cider!

drank Movie Night by DAVIDsTEA

This is a very peculiar tea. It doesn’t taste like popcorn, not really. But it does have this slight buttery taste that is particularly odd and yet somehow delicious.
The taste is most reminiscent of eggo waffles with ‘syrup’.

Don’t let the peculiar taste descriptions put you off though, it is not at all overpowering. Overall it is just softly sweet, with a interesting back note.

Also, the green tea is almost undetectable, partially because there is very little of it in the mix (compared with the chunks of dried apple). Thus this is a good tea for individuals who like herbals, but who are looking to ease into flavored green teas.
