This is my first milk oolong :)
On first opening the package, the scent is intoxicating. I loved the milk scent, not quite milky but more like sweetened condensed milk. The leaves are tightly rolled and dark green.
The milky scent stayed throughout the four steepings, so I’m inclined to believe that it is natural and not from added flavoring. The brew was as smooth as I’m used to (I’m an oolong-lover) and had low to no astringency.
I found it very pricey at $18/50g, but with multiple steepings the cost becomes more manageable. Note: this tea is from China and not from Taiwan. I don’t think I’ll repurchase this tea and will move on to Ten Ren’s High Mountain Jin Xuan milk oolong after this. It is from Taiwan, and is a more affordable $38/150g.
