7 Tasting Notes
Dad picked me up this bag of Bombay Chai – Black Tea from spicemerchants.biz in traverse city, MI. Definitely a different taste of chai. The first sip was a melange of spicy notes conjurs the steamy , aromatic delights of an Indian street market. After taste of cinnamon and almost an orange-ginger taste. Very different. Props to dad for picking it out.
Preparation
3 tsp of Azteca Fire
3 tsp of Strawberry Paraiso
Mixed them both together in my Bodum.
Let steep for 16 total minutes.
(Note: I always make a 16 oz batch because thats about how much fits in my bodum.
Taste just like a Chocolate Covered Strawberry.
Love the smell and taste of this tea. Really strong chocolate smells and tastes. Love the popcorn pieces in the Strawberry Paraiso makes it sweet. Aftertaste of a bite of a chocolate covered strawberry from Godiva. No joke. Very good on ice. However, delicious served hot.

Went to Teavana today and they fixed me up a drink of this but mixed it with Azteca Fire (chocolate ) and it honestly tasted like a Chocolate covered Strawberry. The taste of the Latin cocoa pieces from the Azteca were exquisite and with it shaken with the Strawberry Paraiso makes it a perfect cup. I made a double batch for my mother and I and put 3 tsp of each in my Tea Press. Shook it up a little bit and let it steep for precisely 15-17 minutes. Then put it on ice. Wonderful treat :)

Thanks for the mixing suggestion – I have both of these and hadn’t thought to combine them but your recipe sounds yum. Going to give it a try tonight!
How many ounces of water did you use for a “double” batch? 16 or 32?
This is such a beautiful tea. This is more of an every day , or every night drinking tea. My mom and I fell in love with this when we saw the rose petals and how orange and citrus(y) it tasted. Steep time was good, about 4 minutes. The orange is so tasty.
Preparation
Absolutely love these two chai’s together. They blend so well with a perfect taste. Just enough spice. I always make two servings because I love it so much. Therefore, I let it steep longer. I found it taste a lot better with these two chai’s if you have the steep time at least 8 minutes. Such a delicious taste.
