1024 Tasting Notes
Ok, giving this guy another go (nowhere near the vicinity of Hello Sweetie so I don’t get biased again) and loaded up with a bit of sugar and too much cream, this is a dreamy blend.
My only issue is that with those beautiful big twiggy black leaves, it can kinda be hard to measure out an accurate spoonful…
This one can get a liiiiittle astringent if steeped too long, but that’s my own fault.
I just noticed tonight that my cream expires in the next couple of days so let’s bring on some delicious black teas tonight and get way too much caffeine in my body before bed!
YAY
Finally time to try some of this from my swap with TraceyC a couple of months ago. I was looking for something new to try cold brewed, after a couple of weeks of using the More Tea bottle for my cold brews I wanted to get back into the black brew overnight habit. Enter Island Coconut, stage left…
Yum. More to it than I thought it would have—or maybe I’d just forgotten how delicious a cold brewed black tea is, after so much white and green of late. Yeah yeah yeah yeah this’ll do, pig.
Preparation
Another early start at work, another guayusa to get me through. At the moment this one and Good Morning Sunshine are my go-to guayusas, though I still haven’t tried Cider and I haven’t had Blackberry Lime for a couple of weeks…
Still not picking up the additional flavours in this one, but that could be the timolino’s fault? I really have to sort out trying this in a proper mug to maybe negate the tinny taste. Good Morning Sunshine is far more blatant with its citrusy flavour and I do love that.
I’m also super excited because I got some more of Monstrositea’s masala chai. It was such a dreamy blend and I’m so excited for another rainy day off so I can relive it. Though of course I’m also anxious that I’ve overhyped my memories…
