1024 Tasting Notes
And here’s my cold brew for brunch today, and a sipdown!
This was definitely a lovely flavoured black. Fruity and juicy, my favourite as a cold brew but also lovely hot, plain or with a little sprinkle of sugar.
Thanks for this one, TraceyC — it was definitely a good choice for me :)
Phew! Better steep conditions and storage / distribution of ingredients meant I could pick my rating up for this one.
I found it pretty tricky to wrangle my way to the bottom of the Butiki packet to make sure I got as close to an even spoonful of leaves and flavour dust (?! it’s late, ok) when I first tried this, so I moved what was left into a tin. Much easier to get the spoon in there AND to shake up the supplies!
Repeat after me: white tea, white tea, white tea. This numpty didn’t realise last time and added a whole bunch of milk. Tonight I just added a touch of sugar and it was a cosy dessert treat.
Finally got my last bit of this out of the back of pantry and into one of my storage containers. Started with a big 2L cold steep of it on the weekend.
This was my least favourite of the three Mother’s Day 2013 teas but a cold steep is bringing it more into my favour. The lavender comes out surprisingly strongly, as well as the lemongrass, and the hibiscus gives it an obnoxious red colour but doesn’t make things too tart. Tart, definitely, but not overpoweringly so.
Drinking the last of this is gonna be just fine.
Flavors: Lavender, Lemongrass
