90 Tasting Notes
I saved this for a long time because it was expensive. The more it has aged (about 7 months) it has this nice buttery smell happening as well as the sweet fruit of the strawberry. It tastes almost exactly as it smells, buttery and smooth, light sweet strawberry flavor, and just a slight note of the white tea. Excellent tea!
Flavors: Butter, Fruity, Strawberry
Preparation
Darn it! I forgot to take my tea out again! Oversteeped…. This being home business is not good for my tea making habits. I wonder how many more reviews you guys are going to get about what tea tastes like when you oversteep it. Pumpkin Chai oversteeped has a very smoky taste, total ewww. Thinking about it, I know what my problem is… I left my timer at college… :/
I oversteeped, oops! I brewed it and then mom put color on my hair and this tastes like trash but i want to finish it because it’s my favorite tea. The apple flavor gets very sickeningly sweetened by the vanilla and it all just tastes very fake. Oh well, thats because i brewed it for about 30 minutes…. :/
I wanted to like this one, I was very excited about trying it once my roommate told me how yummy it was. But whatever I was looking for in this tea I didn’t find. The nut was too overwhelming I was looking more for chocolate. It didn’t help that I had to steep some extra in my Teavana steeper because the little push plate got stuck and it when draining all over the place when my back was turned. Oh well, I have a roommate who will help me finish it.
Preparation
This tea has been quite the tricky one to brew. I hear it has come back with a reformulated flavor, so that probably plays into it. Anyway, I finally got a good cuppa this one! I steeped at about 6 minutes and added just a few pieces of Teavana rock sugar and it was yummy. I won’t be reordering this but I can finish the tin, I like the spearmint flavor.
Also, I added shredded sweetened coconut from Trader Joes to the blend in the steeper.
Preparation
Oh how I wish I had more than 2 oz of this delicious tea! If anyone is still hanging on to some because they don’t like it I will take it! It has such a strong roasted coffee flavor but I think that’s what makes it amazing!
Preparation
I went for my interview today at DavidsTea and the manager forgot about it so I didn’t get my real interview today! I’m hoping they call me back, and if they don’t I’ll probably call them haha! Oh well, I got to pick up a few more little gifts for people I want to remember for Christmas and a to-go of this lovely Vanilla Orchid. I will admit the more traditional, delicate teas make me nervous because I like a lot of flavor but I think my taste buds are expanding their tastes. Initially on the sip it was straight oolong flavor with some orchid in the background, then on the finish you could taste a faint vanilla. It was delicate and mildly sweet and delicious! I won’t keep this stocked for everyday use, but more for a treat.
This was another one I bought to try to see if it would make the shelf. Oh my deliciousness. Upon opening the bag it had a strong chocolate smell and almost no chili/pepper smell which was good because Mango Diablo was too spicy for me. This tea is absolutely fabulous though I do think I’ll only keep it stocked for cold weather, I can’t see this being a good summer tea. I love the tiny bit of warmth at the end of the sip, lovely for this bitter weather.
Preparation
Bagged smell: very strong candied pineapple scent, it smells divine, especially for a pineapple lover.
Brewed smell: a bit more mellow on the pineapple smell, still yummy though
Brewed taste: More oolong than pineapple but pineapple is still evident, need just a few pieces of rock sugar to bring out the candied flavor which I highly enjoy. This will probably also make the tea wall.
Preparation
This was oh so yummy as a wake up tea! I made this one in my new Timolino from Davids. I loved the taste but I think I would’ve liked it better if i had put plain whole milk in instead of a shot of sweet italian cream creamer. This is definitely getting added to my personal tea wall. I bought a bunch to try out to see if they made it in my permanent collection, this one does :)
