193 Tasting Notes
I picked this up in a local tea shop over the weekend… the smell was wonderful… tea was ok. I tasted the strawberry but it was more like tasting Nesquik strawberry syrup we use to make our daughter strawberry milk. This has a slight chocolate flavor. Overall I would drink this again but will not replenish the tin once it is finished.
I am new to black currants… this is only the second tea (or anything) I have had with black currants in it. I like it! Nice light white tea with a sweet fruity taste. I wish I had more in my sampler. I want to try this as an iced tea! I think I will resteep the leaves to try this iced.
This is great! It isn’t a Holiday tea but could be. I want to place a Harney order real soon to get some more of this and I am dying to try the Vanilla Comoro! Any one else have any other Harney favorites I should look into when placing my order?
I like them all – happy sigh! I think Boston was the latest new one to me that I really enjoyed, and if you like Earl Grey the Earl Grey Supreme is wonderful. If you like slight smoke Queen Catherine is so good!
I haven’t had a Harney I didn’t love, but their Indian Nimbu stands out to me as their most unique — there’s a lemon/caramel thing happening that I’ve never seen replicated elsewhere.
They threw in a few wrapped sachets of Paris into my first order to try the Vanilla Comoro. I haven’t written a review yet since I’ve been so busy, but I will soon. It was really good! I drank it when it had cooled quite a bit since I forgot about it for awhile. It was kind of fruity, sweet, and delicious. Bet it would be really good iced!
I really like all of them that I’ve tried, but Florence, GInger’s Oolong, and Herbal Hot Cinnamon are my favs so far.
I will have to try steeping this again tomorrow… I just did not enjoy this one as much as I wanted to today. The cherry flavor I was getting just didn’t impress me. I will try again tomorrow and repost.
I absolutely love the label on this tea and totally want the cupcake on it STAT!!!!! :) I guess I have to settle with the tea instead. The tea is scrumptious! Nice blend of mint and chocolate neither flavor too overpowering. I enjoyed this as today’s tea of the day. Once again looking forward to tomorrow!
Well my husband and I got all dolled up last night and headed out to my new dental office’s Christmas party (I just took a business manager position with this office and am transitioning into the position while finishing up some things at the dental office I had been working… January I will be completely transitioned into the new office. It was very nice to be invited to this Christmas party and it gave me an opportunity to meet all the staff That being said we were at a very upscale restaurant that makes wonderful food and brings it to you with artistic designs on your plate. After cocktails, dinner and dessert I decided to have a cup of tea expecting a decent cup of fine tea…. NOPE I was brought a tea pot with a bag of Lipton in it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I couldn’t believe such an upscale restaurant served LIPTON!!!! My husband jokingly said to me that I have much finer teas at home :) All in all it was a great time but I had to come home to have a decent cup of tea!
Most restaurants are effin CLUELESS when it comes to tea. Even those stocking loose teas keep them in clear jars on display, so the light can wreck and stale them … sigh.
Good luck in your new position! And I know what you mean about how disappointing it is when a restaurant has a less than thoughtful tea selection. I posted before about a DINER in my area that has a really great selection of loose leaf in pyramid bag Mighty Leaf tea, and it makes it the place I will go out of my way to patronize. It’s the little details :)
This tea is really good! The Apricot and cinnamon blend so well together! I am not a big fan of rooibos but I found I really enjoy this tea and will probably order more of this. (Which is nice because had it not been in this sampler I most likely wouldn’t have purchased a whole pouch of it)
Great tea of the day! I am LOVING the 12 Teas of Christmas sampler! I had ordered a pouch of this before and really like it but I am glad it is in the sampler because I had sent one as a gift! Everyday the recipient of my gift and I are discussing the “tea of the day” and it is a ball!!!! (Even though it has been a week and I still have a horribly sore throat and cough) This is there first experience with 52 Teas and they are loving it! Today I think this tea sealed the deal! They want to order more :) Woohoo… anxious for tomorrow!
The sampler IS so much fun. I hope Frank is already plotting and planning a package for next year. :)
I am thinking more like The 12 teas of Love for Valentines :) The thought of waiting until next Christmas is dreadful!!! (And Valentine’s is my birthday LOL)
14 teas!! Yes, I love this idea. It’ll give us singles a reason to be slightly less bitter during the month of February!
ROFL!
Sounds like a great idea, except I think we would wind up with a lot of the same teas. By next Christmas we should have some NEW favorites.
