G is for… Gingerly Pineapple!
The flavouring here is surprisingly light on the ginger – definitely more pineapple than anything, with only a whisper of ginger (more in the aftertaste). I’m not a huge fan of the flavouring, but the base is a really nice buttery and fresh-tasting oolong; because of the base, I actually do enjoy this tea although I’d definitely prefer the base with different flavours (berries?!).

G is for… Grapefruit Brown Sugar!
I find this tea just to be a mild grapefruit tea. Not really any flavouring beyond that. Since grapefruit isn’t top on my flavour list, it’s not a hit for me. I don’t think I’ve ever tried this sweetened though; perhaps it would be better with a touch of sugar.

G is for… Gooey Butter Cake!
I really really want to love this tea, but it isn’t working for me. All I get is a mildly flavoured lemon black – no cakey, butter flavours, and the lemon could be stronger. Not a bad tea, just not what I wanted here.

F is for… Forever Frosty!
For some reason I was thinking this would taste similar to Forever Nuts (it’s probably because of the name), but after drinking it, I realized that it’s perhaps just the latest in the series of various holiday-ish fruit/cinnamon teas that have come out over the years. Like Sleigh Ride? Or maybe Prancer’s Punch? (I haven’t had those teas in a while, so don’t really remember). I did like the punch of orange in the aroma, but it was definitely the cinnamon that took over in the sip. In fact, cinnamon is pretty much all I taste, with an aftertaste of some other spices, maybe. I don’t find this tea to be anything special. It’s ok, but kind of boring, I guess?

F is for… Fireside Mocha!
Although I love the mocha-y aroma of this tea, I think I’ve had it a few too many times recently and I’m now finding it a bit sickly. Ditto to the flavour – it’s too sweet. However, adding milk seems to temper that, and turn it into a nice latte-esque beverage – that’s how I finished it off today! Down to a single (new) pouch of this tea; feels like a little bit of progress.

2022 Sipdown 77/365!
I don’t have any matchas that start with F, so picked this one from the advent calendar instead. I’ve only tried the Vanilla Chai version before, but expected similar spicing here, and maybe a stronger flavour – and I was right. As with all my “lattes”, because it’s easier, I used the entire (15?) gram pouch in a nordic mug, filled about 3/5 with hot water and 2/5 with cold milk – and this was the first time that I thought that it could perhaps stand to be a bit more diluted! However, I appreciated this, as I prefer the flavour to be stronger so it’s not drowned out by the milk. Overall, I liked this matcha but prefer regular chai lattes, so will probably stick to those.

E is for… Eggnog!
Decent creaminess and a bit of a custardy flavour, but at least at this point, the spicing isn’t there for me. Also, it has that irritating property of giving me a bit of a scratchy-feeling throat. Usually it’s only red rooibos that does that, so it’s interesting.
