I love a good cinnamon tea, but until this one, I’d always had cinnamon tea from Sri Lanka – the difference being in Sri Lanka, they lace a good black tea with cinnamon oil. Here, it seemed to be cinnamon spice was added to a fairly mild black tea. The result here was overwhelming. The cinnamon was simply too strong against a weak black tea background and was harsh in the mouth – sweet, spicy, and lingering.

I remembered liking this tea more in the past, but I’m unsure if it was just my mood, or the tea. Enjoyable light flavor, but not crave worthy.

I was not expecting to like this tea much – I’m not a great fan of herbals, and the description of chocolate was not doing my impression any favors. But I was pleasantly surprised. The chocolate made it feel a bit like black tea in how my mind processed it. Rich flavors, warming, and very enjoyable.

This is ok. It’s a little weaker than I typically like for this time of year especially. This might be a nice summer tea.

A good simple breakfast tea. Pleasant, enjoyable for a cold winter’s morning.

Very solidly enjoyable tea. Full bodied. flavorful. I love a good Ceylon tea.

I found this a bit weak in flavor, and I don’t think it was my steeping, but it might have been that I have been drinking fuller flavored tea for a few weeks before this. I’ll have to give it another try. It was just meh for me on first tasting – good but not special.

I brought back a couple teabags of this from Sri Lanka as they were in my hotel room. (I bought lots of other types of tea too!) This is a good breakfast tea. I can’t say it’s more impressive than my usual choice for breakfast tea, but it was enjoyable and the first sip did take me back to my trip. It didn’t sustain flavor well through the second steeping, but I didn’t really expect it to either.

Most Enjoys:
A strong black tea, preferably from Sri Lanka or India. I tend to steep it a little over to get just a touch of bitterness, which I enjoy.

My Ratings:
100-90: One of my favorites, a tea that stopped me from doing whatever I was doing, to just enjoy its flavor.
89-80: I would buy again, I enjoy, but one that I can have while rushing around or reading or internet browsing – my standard breakfast teas probably fall in this range. I very much enjoy them.
79-70: An good tea. It’s pleasing in some way and I may buy it again but I wouldn’t go out of my way to make sure I have it in stock.
69-60: A tea I enjoyed, but nothing really stood out to me.
59-50: Better than average, but nothing that delighted or pleased me. It was fine.
49-1: Varying degrees of I didn’t enjoy this tea. The lower the rating goes, the more there was at least one element that I actively did not like.
