This is okay – I’ve been drinking less tea lately, so maybe my palate just needs to come back around, but I find it thin in taste and a bit… plain. Not what I expected from Palais des Thés. I like a more robust cuppa in the AM. Perhaps on the second or third taste of this canister it will get better.

I didn’t know what to expect with this tea. I like it. It smells like the holidays and it has a very pleasant taste. Spiced, but not overwhelming. I’d buy this any year I would be hosting a lot of holiday breakfasts – would be an excellent addition to the offerings.

I’ve never been a huge fan of Darjeeling’s and I can’t say this one completely converted me, but I can see its appeal after drinking this. The cup was pleasing. Rich and strong flavors, which I like, and just a bit floral and bitter on the end. I think if this was to join my daily rotation, I would add a bit of honey and it would be perfect.

This was pleasant enough, but I can’t say the flavor was unique for me to want to return to it or crave it. It seemed like a fairly basic green tea, which is a bit disappointing for Le Palais des Thes. Still it was fine enough for the one cup. I’m glad it came in a sample pack though, rather than me having a whole supply of it.

I’m always looking for good, comforting, mild teas for when I’m getting sick. This is a good one. A hint of citrus, but mostly just enjoyable warmth.

I’m not usually a fan of fruity herbal teas, and I can’t say this will be joining my routine drinking rotation, but I wanted something relaxing and, well, fruity, this evening and this served well. It was enjoyable, but nothing I was blown away by.

I usually don’t drink fruit forward teas, but this was highly rated in a travelling teabox I received, so I gave it a try – it’s surprisingly good! By no means could I drink it with the frequency I drink black tea, but it would make a good dessert or just afternoon treat. Made with real raspberries and juice, it tastes like…well, a raspberry.

Most Enjoys:
A strong black tea, preferably from Sri Lanka or India. I tend to steep it a little over to get just a touch of bitterness, which I enjoy.

My Ratings:
100-90: One of my favorites, a tea that stopped me from doing whatever I was doing, to just enjoy its flavor.
89-80: I would buy again, I enjoy, but one that I can have while rushing around or reading or internet browsing – my standard breakfast teas probably fall in this range. I very much enjoy them.
79-70: An good tea. It’s pleasing in some way and I may buy it again but I wouldn’t go out of my way to make sure I have it in stock.
69-60: A tea I enjoyed, but nothing really stood out to me.
59-50: Better than average, but nothing that delighted or pleased me. It was fine.
49-1: Varying degrees of I didn’t enjoy this tea. The lower the rating goes, the more there was at least one element that I actively did not like.
