85 Tasting Notes
I can’t believe I haven’t logged this blend yet. It’s one of my favorites and goes quickly once I finally get around to buying more of it. You can of course add more or less of which ever tea you want to predominate the taste if you buy them separately, which is what I do. I’m very particular – I like about a 1:2 ratio of the tropica to the Jasmine pearls. This way, it’s more of the flowery taste with fruity undertones that don’t dominate the taste. I also prefer it sweetened. I also enjoy this tea because I can make it more mellow or strong depending on how I feel that day. Today I’ve made an entire pot of it in my beautiful purple cast iron teapot covered in vines and am loving it.

I am so grateful for Indigo creating this wonderful tea. It’s one of the few I know I can rely on when I want something pure and simple. Very smooth, apple-y, and delicious.
A perfect score for this tea. The flavors are robust but very well balanced and delicious. I love the buttery smoothness with hints of coconut and vanilla so much that I will have to place another order soon (the $2 international fee be damned!). Sometimes I open my tin of this stuff just to take a sniff…or too…when it’s too late for me to take in caffeine. I’ve been told I may have a problem….
Preparation
I love oolong, chocolate, and coconut, so this tea is naturally a blessing to me. It’s not very bold but more subtle- I mostly taste the chocolate with slight undertones of coconut and a very faint hint of rose. It is pretty light, even for my taste (I tend to like light flavors), but I think I’m going to try adding some of my coconut tea in to see if I can boost that flavor. I may even try to blend it with some strawberry and see what happens. I see great potential in this teas mixing ability, but it’s decent on its own too.

What a nice, fruity tea. The liquor is this beautiful reddish-orange color. I find that the flavors are nicely balanced, although I am not getting that vanilla in the finish but instead a sweet orange flavor. My biggest problem with this tea is that it’s kind of sour, in a citric way. I wonder if I steeped it too long? It took me a while to remove the leaves since I was so amazed by my cat loving raisins. Had her for over 7 years and I’m just finding this out now! She loves to chase them as I toss them across the room. That was a digression but it’s just as interesting as this tea so thanks for your patience!

Wait a minute- a chai that’s supposedly nutty, chocolatey, and vanilla-ee? It certainly sounds great, and the loose leaf tea smells wonderful. I had to wait for a sneeze attack to subside before tasting this one – darn allergies!
This tea is neither tasty nor chocolatey. Maybe that’s some vanilla in there, but it just tastes watered down and blegh. I even added extra tea because it’s a personal habit. It has a weird chesnutty taste and my mouth is a little “spiced” afterward, but it is overall not very good. I will continue to give all the Adagio teas I’ve bought a fifth or sixth chance in hopes that they redeem themselves, but at this point I swear the reviews on their website are fake or planted or something. None of them have tasted like much of anything.
