This smells delicious, like juicy, ripe blackberries. It also tastes VERY sweet, very artificial.

I was intrigued by the oolong/green/white? mix of this tea though DavidsTea lists this as a white tea. It is definitely more floral than Buddha’s Blend whereas Buddha’s Blend to me was more fruity but I do detect some peachy notes and there is some milkiness from the milk oolong. I also get a bit of grassiness from the green tea. Overall, this is a well-balanced and lovely blend.

Kind of overpriced but they are so convenient and easy to use! I also love how they cinch closed. I’ve used other tea filters (like the ones from Teavana that just sort of hang over the edge of your cup) and I really prefer these!

Sipdown! Raspberry Cream Pie was probably the one tea I have been most excited about trying from the new spring collection. It definitely smells and tastes like a raspberry cream pie! There is an oily film on top after brewing but this does contain white chocolate chips. The tea alone is pretty sweet thanks to the addition of sugar. I bet this would be lovely with a splash of almond milk.

I’m finally getting around to trying this, I’ve had it for maybe about a month now. The dry tisane itself smells delicious – very nutty and chocolately. I ended up steeping mine for about 3 min at 160 F. The resulting liquor is a light golden brown. You can definitely smell and taste the nuttiness but I feel like the chocolate flavor is lacking. Perhaps I need to steep it a little longer since Adagio suggests 3-5 min. Regardless, this tea is pretty yummy and smooth. Not bitter at all. This is the first mate I’ve ever tried. I also like how there is no oily film in this tisane as there are with some others that include chocolate pieces.

Smells and tastes like bubble gum. No thanks, not a fan.

I only have this as a sample so I’m already out and I’m really sad :( This tisane is sooooo good! It’s like drinking an apple pie/apple crumble! It brews a bright pink color due to the beet root which I think is neat. There is also a slight tang that I get from this tea – not sure if it’s from the apple or the beetroot, but it’s nice. I need to go buy myself some more of this asap.

Dry: This smells intensely of marzipan, which I love. Of all of the Winter Collection teas, this one is my favorite scent-wise. You can see the green tea with marigolds and cornflowers. It’s pretty.

Wet: The marigolds and cornflowers disappear and you’re left with a green tea with leaves that have opened up nicely. I recommend using an infuser with plenty of room.

The liquor is a golden green color. I can definitely taste the almond flavor and there is also some grassiness from the green tea. I also detect a very slight cherry flavor. This sort of reminds me of Zhi Tea’s Cherry Sencha which I am a huge fan of.

Overall, I love this tea and it’s my favorite from the Winter Collection so far, with 2nd place going to their Hot Chocolate pu’erh/black tea blend. Green tea and marizpan? HECK YES. I need to quickly buy a full-sized tin of this.

You can definitely taste the licorice here, and I’m not a huge fan of that. However, it does work in making me a nicer person once a month and also helps with the bloating that comes with it.

Drinking this is like being refreshed by The Great Fairy…

…or having your heart and magic meter completely filled from drinking a Blue Potion…

…or feeling the joy of the rain after playing Song Of Storms on your ocarina.

This tea gives you the Wisdom, Power and Courage to take on that damn Water Temple.

I’m a registered nurse working in the ER and currently a family nurse practitioner student. I’m also a tea enthusiast, video game nerd, foodie, fitness junkie, introvert, & nature lover. You can find me wherever there is tea and food!

I got started getting into loose leaf tea a few years back at (hate to admit it) Teavana. Since then I’ve started branching out. Black and oolong teas are my favorite and that’s what I drink the most of. I also like green tea, and white tea is okay. I like some rooibos tea blends and I’ve never had pu’erh.

My usual brewing method: 12oz mug, 1.5-2tsp loose leaf tea, fresh water heated to correct temp and steeped for correct amount of time (depends on what I am drinking). I use a Cuisinart 1.7L Perfect Temp Electric Cordless Kettle.

I want to get into the gongfu cha way of brewing.
