Well what can I say?

This is definitely my favorite tea ever. I love the light green rooibos taste with the strong ginger. I steep it for about 10 minutes (I enjoy it this way). I also think the spices help in balancing out the flavors. It’s amazing and I need to buy 500g worth.

drank Maharaja Chai Oolong by Teavana

So this is pretty good. But the oolong is not recognizable. Really pointless to waste oolong on this as you cannot taste it at all; it just tastes like chai. Now don’t get me wrong, it is good (even though the cinnamon overpowers everything else), it is tasty. I prefer it plain (no milk or sugar — it is already pretty sweet).

Had I known Teavana has a minimum amount that you have to purchase, I wouldn’t have bought this. Luckily my mom loves this tea, because I don’t think I could finish it all. Oh and I had asked for the minimum amount (50 g) and the employee put 64g in the bag. He then asked me if that was okay. What was I supposed to do, ask him to put 14g back? This is just another reason why I prefer DT to Teavana.

drank Caramel Spice by DAVIDsTEA

I didn’t really like this. I can’t explain why. It didn’t taste like caramel or… well… it didn’t taste like anything really. Some milk and sugar saved it from being a total disaster.

My sister bought this and I took a few sips from her cup.

I’m loving the peppermint and the fact that the chamomile is not too powerful. Also, it’s great that there’s valerian root in here and that you don’t taste it (because frankly, I love valerian but hate the taste). My sister said that it helped her sleep 3 nights in a row. Must buy.

Will edit this log when I manage to purchase some.

I was accidentally given 50g of this when I asked for 25g.

I do not regret this.

It tastes really really good. And I know it will be even better when I whisk it with a matcha whisk. It was a little bit bitter, but that’s okay. The grassiness of the tea matched my expectations so I’m happy.

Can’t wait to incorporate this in, like, everything I bake. MATSU.

drank Forever Nuts by DAVIDsTEA

Let me begin by saying that I don’t really like the color pink. It just makes anything seem less good than what it is.

Now let’s get to the actual logging. This tea tastes great with or without milk. Very little sweetening needed, too. The nuttiness is great but there’s something else about it. The creaminess is just great (yes, it tastes creamy to me).

Oh and I’m loving the pink.

Unique, amazing taste. The maple really stands out. Would’ve been nice to have a little more tea in it though (I think I would’ve given it 100). The popcorn taste is also so good. Best consumed when hot.

I had tried this in store a couple of months ago and it was very weak — as in not strong. I saw the potential, however. I bought 25g and have thoroughly enjoyed the 4 cups I had (all in the past day). The fourth time I made it into a latte with a teaspoon of agave.

WAIT WHAAAAT? What have I just consumed? The greatest thing ever? Yes, most definitely. Must buy 200g (there’s a first time for everything).

EDIT: Assuming anyone actually reads my logs, you may have noticed that tea lattes are my favorite. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE straight teas and trying new ones but nothing makes me feel better than a great tea latte.

I love this as an iced tea with a bit of salt (weird I know) and some brown sugar. Tastes like caramel kettle corn!

I love Earl Grey and London Fog lattes in moderation (once a month, or else I’ll get tired of the bergamot). This “creamy twist” is no different. It’s great with or without milk! Delicious, although I wouldn’t buy a whole tin (25g has taken me 4 months to nearly finish).

drank Coco Chai Rooibos by DAVIDsTEA

Plain and simple: this is a tasty chai but the coco is not prominent. I was really confused because the description says a “strong hint of coconut”, which I didn’t taste at all. Maybe my taste buds were off earlier…

HOWEVER, it is one of the best chais I’ve had at David’s Tea and makes me wants to try more rooibos chais. Also, one of the only rooibos tea blends I like.

Also try it with some steamed milk and honey.

drank Pineapple Oolong by DAVIDsTEA

Was looking forward to trying this. Finally tried it in store (TOTD) and enjoyed it, but not enough to purchase it. I may buy it to go when passing by my local DT, but ultimately I wouldn’t purchase a bag of it. The pineapple sweetness tastes way too candied, as others have mentioned, although I really enjoy the fact that it doesn’t ruin the taste of the oolong tea.
