This had cold brewed for almost a week and though it was creamy orange, it also tasted a bit like halls. So not my favorite but I wonder if the long steep made for an only okay drink.
It is snowing outside so of course I am inside sipping on an iced tea called Tropicool and it is pretty awesome. No hibiscus and no apple flavor. It is smooth and fruity, mosly I detect kiwi and then a burst of tart cherry/cranberry flavor which mellows to sweet coconut. It is really quite a good fruit blend that I could see being very refreshing in the summer. This I think I want more of since this is a sipdown.
Also, I was in the midst of writing this note when the “Add a tasting note” page just disappeared. So I have now written this note twice.

So now that I have the hang of it, I am a little obsessed with the iced tea press which means its time to make all the fruit teas! That is especially good since I have a bunch of 2 perfect teaspoon samples building up from TeaTaxi, which is the perfect size for the press.
As for the tea, it is really quite interesting and very nice actually. Usually fruit teas either have one of two distinct flavor: hibby tartness or sweet apple. This is sweet without being apple. It is light in flavor but the aftertaste is lemon. Honestly, this is like someone left lemon in water and added a touch of fruit and a bit of florals to sweeten it up.
I like this and I don’t know why. There is so much in here and yet it makes a generically berry/fruity flavor, though one that’s smooth and sweet. It’s different and yet familiar.
ETA: As I keep drinking, the sweetness keeps building and ultimately drowns out everything else. Apparently I’m not such a fan of this.
I got an early Valentines Day present from my boyfriend-a Breville IQ Kettle!! It has different temperature settings for all types of teas (White, green, oolong and the black option falls with herbal and rooibos). What a difference it makes for green tea! Usually I find it has a bitter taste to it and this cup of tea does not have that issue. It is a light refreshing cup of fruity green tea. My tea world has changed forever. I’m in love!
So when I looked at the ingredients it seemed this was just a black tea with cute heart sprinkles. Nothing special but a good addition to sweeten my mixes berry smoothie and another tea for my 365 Days of Tea on instagram that is valentines themed. The smoothie was good, I just don’t know what role the tea itself played in that so more to come when I try this plain.
Made this iced to change it up a bit and it’s not too bad. Bright and fruity though a little vegetal from the base. I would say there is a definite tropical vibe thanks to the papaya and pineapple here though the base builds the more I drink which can get offputting.
February means all the Valentine’s Day teas, including this one. It is a green and white blend with papaya and pineapple which is not very Valentine’s so they added strawberry and rose to make it more themed.
The base is a little stronger than the other green teas I have had by TeaTaxi and the end result is a little soapy. My guess is that is the white tea…and maybe rose. The fruits are generically tropical, with a hint of strawberry at the end of the sip.
A detox tea that has more ingredients than processed foods. Sure they are natural but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s good for you. Tbh, I think they might have missed the mark with this one. http://sororiteasisters.com/2017/02/05/detox-from-teataxi/
When I ordered a package of T-sacs online I received a bag of this along with my order. I brewed it up and I have to say, I did NOT like it. It was worse than blech. And my teabag didn’t come with an ingredient list, but I’m not surprised that the ingredients are suspect. I’m not sure how much actual tea was in this.
I know it’s an odd time to be trying this, but I got 50g from a tea friend for valentines day, and I like said ingredients, so here it goes. I can definitely see how it resembles DT’s Santa’s Secret – just obviously no mint. So I’d say this is a better version for sure. I like the chocolate and strawberry notes, under the obvious black tea taste. This is a nice blend.

My brother-in-law is a huge coffee person, so much so that he gets the caffeine headaches when he doesn’t have one. Well today that headache kicked in at around 9:30 at night so I suggested maybe a tea would provide enough caffeine to help the headache without keeping him up all night.
I figured a fruity green would be flavorful without being vegetal. Since I didn’t have my whole stash here, this is what I ended up going with. I was nervous as I usually am when sharing tea with non tea drinkers, especially tea I’ve never tried before. Luckily he loved it and drank most of the mug in under twenty minutes. Most because he left me some to try.
This was a juicy, tropical green. No contribution from the base really so it was light and fruity. Strawberry and papaya both vaguely detectable if you focused but mostly it had that generic tropical juice type flavor. It was pretty good though nothing so amazing that I need more right away. I might it to an order though if for nothing else it’s one I know I can share with family :P
