tried this the other day at starbucks since it’s new. I much prefer either just getting their peach tea drink in the bottle OR sticking with my favourite. This wasn’t bad but the green and peach didn’t seen to want to blend very well together.
It’s 95 degrees and muggy in downtown Washington, DC. My coworker was making a Starbucks run so I handed her a fiver and asked for one of these bad boys. I’d never had it before but I was intrigued.
Grande made with soy milk and with whipped cream. YUM. Definitely a fan. The matcha is strong and comes right on through in the flavor. I love it.
(Also, I’m quite amused this drink is on Steepster. I just looked it up on a whim and there it is! Glad it is though.)
I had this one last weekend but didn’t get around to reviewing it because I had to add it to the database. I normally get the shaken black tea lemonade but I decided to branch out and try this one. It taste very similar to the Starbucks bottled version of peach iced tea, which is peach with green tea.
I found this tea very very sweet. It felt like they used the vente proportions for a grande cup. You could definitely taste the peach. It was almost like juice. After I drank some of it down I added more ice and it tasted much better. Slightly less sweetness and I could taste the green tea. I would like this one better if there was so much sweetener in it. I guess that’s what you get when they use syrup though. It was good for a hot day. I would be willing to try it again and see if it really is super sweet or if the barista just added a bit too much to the cup.
I had a tall last week and it was perfect. Not too sweet, I could taste the tea. Now I wonder what would have happened if I ordered a grande.
You could always ask for a little less of the syrup. Try half sweet. I find anything more than halfsweet is too much for me too.
To me it tasted like there was definitely more syrup in there than should have been. I will have to try again and maybe ask for less pumps.
It’s possible they put in extra by mistake. But yes, if you get it at the right balance, it tastes quite nice :)
If you don’t like how something tastes, a barista should remake it for you or offer you something else. I don’t get to how to make most drinks until next week so I’m not sure how much syrup goes in (I want to know!) but that little thing got hammered into my brain today, and the very example was a barista making a drink less sweet for someone.
I didn’t try the drink until after I left the store. And I was with my mom so I didn’t want to have to walk back in to get the drink fixed. I will just remember to ask for it less sweet next time. And remember to try it in store :)
I had to pick one of these up because KS reviews them all the time. I haven’t had one in a long time. It tasted delicious. A little on the sweet side but I forgot to ask for less sweetener when I ordered. It tastes like green tea powder, not necessarily matcha, mixed with ice and cream. The green tea taste is more sweet grass than vegetable flavour. I splurged and went for the large dollop of (fake) whipped cream on top.
I’d love to review something else when my wife drags me in there but this is the only thing I have found I enjoy – over sweet, fake, and all. Actually, since I have never had matcha before, I did not know this wasn’t the real thing. Ignorance is bliss. :)
My wife NEEDED coffee. I think they put crack in that stuff. So, I ordered this as an alternate to the green tea frap I normally get. It isn’t bad. It just isn’t what I wanted. The taste is very close to the Bigelow Lemon Lift I had a couple days ago. I thought that one tasted like lemon grass. Next time I guess I’ll try an iced Earl Grey latte.
((I’ve had so much starbucks in the past week it’s crazy))
Split a venti soy chai fraupiccino with my sister yesterday, ordered just a simple tall chai this morning.
Dude. I work at Disney okay. There are 3 Starbucks I work at and it’s cheaper on property than at a regular Starbucks so… yeah
Grande chai, prepared in store, no modifications whatsoever.
Just a little treat for myself for what I think is a successful interview :)
Fun fact, I actually knew who my interviewer was. I met her once last year during my program during presentations for a project and she actually owns part of my boutique hotel hahha
Made my way to Starbucks because I was supposed to study at the library with my friend, but my friend texted me and said she won’t come and the library was already in sight. Sooo Starbucks it is!
Dude this is perfect. I’m listening to jazz radio on pandora so it’s like typical coffee shoppe atmosphere for me :)
OKAY IT WAS COLD AND I GOT OUT OF CLASS AND I PASSED BY STARBUCKS AND THERE WAS NO ONE INSIDE AND I BOUGHT ANOTHER CHAI LATTE DON’T JUDGE ME I REALLY SHOULD STOP THE AUTO RELOAD FUNCTION ON MY STARBUCKS CARD
BUT IN OTHER NEWS, I WALKED BACK HOME WITH MY CHAI IN MY HAND, CHECKED MY MAIL AND FOUND THREE PACKAGES. OH MY GOSH MY SWAP WITH SHMIRACLES CAME AND MY SAMPLES FROM TEA AT SEA AND MY ADAGIO ORDER AND OH MY GOSH LOOK AT ALL THIS TEA
http://instagram.com/p/kQZXoFvhJF/
Though Adagio did send me the wrong thing… I’m getting that fixed now because I want my masters teas!
And because of that I’m pretty sure I’ve broken 100 in my cupboard… Umm.. yeah. My roommates aren’t going to be pleased when they see that my cupboard has grown. I think sipdown night is needed sometime this week…
Preparation
Oh gosh I know! I’ve been looking forward to these packages for so long and they’ve finally arrived!
If I’m feeling coffee, I always get my Java Chip in a tall with whip and chocolate drizzle.
If I’m feeling something fruity, I always get my blended Strawberry Lemonade.
If I’m feeling sweet, I always get my tell Vanilla Bean, no whip.
If I’m feeling tea, I always get my grande chai.
Ahh I can always depend on Starbucks :) I love this place so much okay.
I have my chai and I brought my textbooks with me and I managed to get to a table with an outlet so looks like I’ll be here for at least two hours! I’ve got midterms to study for, presentations to prepare, essays to draft, homework to be done, and email to send. Busy busy day!
(Being super productive right now and drinking tea while writing my paper. I didn’t even think about the backsplask of the tea when I set it down and it totally shot up my nose ahha. Just thought everyone would enjoy my clumsiness. BACK TO WORK!!)
((LISTENING TO MIKA RADIO AND MY SONG JUST STARTED PLAYING AND I’M RESISTING THE URGE TO DANCE. Also I am done with my chai and I am quite upset and I want more.))
Preparation
I wasn’t supposed to go to Starbucks today but I passed by it on the way to the bank and the line was super short so… it was calling my name hehe :)
Seriously though. If I buy tea at Starbucks, I only get my chai tea latte because that’s the only one that I like.
I’m spending the weekend with my cousins and I totally brought tea with me (since their teas are all like… bags and.. no) and I totally forgot that they don’t have a kettle, or a strainer, or anything that deals with loose tea at all. Bleeehhh so I’m totally going to spend the weekend not drinking tea :/
OH MY GOSH CAN I JUST CRY BECAUSE I JUST GOT THE STEEPSTER APP AND WOW THERE ARE THINGS YOU CAN DO ON THE APP THAT YOU CAN’T ONLINE.
So. Starbucks. Studying for 3 hours in the library deserves some Starbucks. Now I’m just sitting outside waiting for class to start and I was all huh. I wonder if I got added to the app list thing? AND I DID AND NOW I HAVE THE STEEPSTER APP AND WOW I LIKE VERY MUCH.
Sadly I can’t add a photo because I actually just drank it all hahah but wow I’m liking this app.
Wow okay still don’t know how to do things on the app but it’s so much fun to play with :))
TEA IS GOOD. Drinking my chai outside because it’s such a nice 72degrees here and the sun isn’t harsh at all, and even though I’m drinking something hot on a warm day, I’m not sweating bullets. It’s just so perfect and the steepster all is perfect and I love it so much :)
Because the chai that I had on tuesday was a complete fail and I DON’T EVEN KNOW WHY.
I had Starbucks Chai Tea Latte for the first time yesterday and it was pretty good! I liked it :) Definitely going to add that to my list of usual drinks to order :)
Though it was nearly 100 degrees out, HECK. TEA. YES.
Love this Starbucks “Green Tips” tea. The favor is perfect. You can see the traditional “loose” Chinese style tea leaves through the elegant tea bag. More expensive than my everyday teas, so I save it for days when I have the time to enjoy it and for long road trips.
