From Starbucks

Green tea shaken with ice, peach syrup and lemonade.

This soothing combination of green tea, lemonade and peach syrup not only refreshes parched throats, it also calms loud noises. Lawn mowers go silent, car horns cease, even dragonflies seem to buzz a little quieter when Shaken Iced Peach Green Tea Lemonade is around. If you have keen ears, you may be able to make out the swaying of hammocks in the distance.

I had this one last weekend but didn’t get around to reviewing it because I had to add it to the database. I normally get the shaken black tea lemonade but I decided to branch out and try this one. It taste very similar to the Starbucks bottled version of peach iced tea, which is peach with green tea.

I found this tea very very sweet. It felt like they used the vente proportions for a grande cup. You could definitely taste the peach. It was almost like juice. After I drank some of it down I added more ice and it tasted much better. Slightly less sweetness and I could taste the green tea. I would like this one better if there was so much sweetener in it. I guess that’s what you get when they use syrup though. It was good for a hot day. I would be willing to try it again and see if it really is super sweet or if the barista just added a bit too much to the cup.

Nxtdoor

I had a tall last week and it was perfect. Not too sweet, I could taste the tea. Now I wonder what would have happened if I ordered a grande.

Chizakura

You could always ask for a little less of the syrup. Try half sweet. I find anything more than halfsweet is too much for me too.

Lala

To me it tasted like there was definitely more syrup in there than should have been. I will have to try again and maybe ask for less pumps.

Chizakura

It’s possible they put in extra by mistake. But yes, if you get it at the right balance, it tastes quite nice :)

momo

If you don’t like how something tastes, a barista should remake it for you or offer you something else. I don’t get to how to make most drinks until next week so I’m not sure how much syrup goes in (I want to know!) but that little thing got hammered into my brain today, and the very example was a barista making a drink less sweet for someone.

Lala

I didn’t try the drink until after I left the store. And I was with my mom so I didn’t want to have to walk back in to get the drink fixed. I will just remember to ask for it less sweet next time. And remember to try it in store :)

K S

Wish I had read this before I had another green tea frap today.

@Momo

3 pumps of Peach in a tall, four in a grande, six in a venti. Trenta doesn’t exist where I live, so if you’re in a store with that size you’ll have to wait until next week. ^^;

tried this the other day at starbucks since it’s new. I much prefer either just getting their peach tea drink in the bottle OR sticking with my favourite. This wasn’t bad but the green and peach didn’t seen to want to blend very well together.

High Adventure

I felt the same way! Luckily my boyfriend finishes anything I put in front of him.

Umm. I didn’t like this. At all. The peachy flavour is overly chemical to me, and it was way way way too sweet.

Of course I’m having a super horrid evening, and I’m also at the airport picking up a friends brother as distraction. So. My experience might be coloured negatively.

Sil

Doubt it…this one is way less delicious than passion tea lemonade"

OMGsrsly

True. I just wanted to try something new.

At least at the airport sbux they have salads and stuff not covered with crackers or croutons, so I was able to eat!

This wasn’t so bad today? But when you’re ridiculously thirsty after having a sodium-packed meal (ugh), I guess anything will taste pretty good. I normally get the shaken iced tea lemonade with equal parts black, green, and hibiscus but the location I went to only listed this as an option for some reason. Yeah, it was sweeter than what I’m used to since I normally never add any sugar to tea, especially iced/cold brewed, but it wasn’t as sweet as expected.

The green tea base was more prevalent than expected. It had a slightly bitter bite which helped cut the sweetness from the lemonade. I could taste the peach and lemon equally, which was cool beans. Kind of expensive for what it is though, as it was over $4 for a grande. Like please.
