Yingde Black Tea from iteaworld.com is amazing. Please note: I was offered this tea for free in exchange for my honest review, and I do have to say that I’m very much enjoying this tea! It comes from modern high mountain tea gardens and the rich, sweet taste is wonderful. The tea has a beautiful, roasted smell. It tastes rich in flavour and reminds me of caramel and cocoa flavours. I also love how each infusion alters the taste just a little bit, and the amount of infusions it lasts for demonstrates the high quality black tea that it is.

Notes of cherry and dark chocolate. The roast enhances this tea without being overpowering.

Taste profile chocolatey as expected for a Lapsang Souchong. Unpleasant amount of astringency, overwhelming taste of cheap cooking chocolate. Tea page link here: https://iteaworld.com/products/souchong-black-tea?pos=2&_fid=b76f4668c&ss=c

Nice strong smoke flavour. Flavour profile what you’d expect from a Lapsang Souchong but with an unpleasantly bitter aftertaste. Tasted like cooking chocolate. Tea page link here: https://iteaworld.com/products/wild-souchong-black-tea

I loved this tea it was my favorite oolong so far! It has such a nice sweet smell too it that easily transitioned into the taste of the tea. It also had some floral taste in it but the sweetness definitely stay for multiple steeps and then lightly tapered off toward the end. It also tasted similar to some black teas I had when the sweetness faded away.( golden monkey) https://iteaworld.com/products/fenghuang-dancong-old-tree-oolong-tea?pos=2&_sid=99e2a34e1&ss=r

This oolong had a very complex taste to it that I couldn’t quite put my finger on but I really did enjoy the way how smooth it was when I drank it . Loved the aroma these leaves made after the steeps. I found it similar to other Da Hong Pao teas but it had its own unique characteristics. https://iteaworld.com/products/dahongpao-oolong-tea?pos=2&_sid=a7a1cec16&ss=r

This has a very similar taste to some green teas or oolongs I’ve tried in the past such as Ali Shaun got about 5 steeps of it and was nice thick creamy texture to the tongue https://iteaworld.com/products/tie-guanyin-oolong-tea?pos=2&psq=tie&ss=e&v=1.0

Nicely perfumed, very floral. Charcoal notes initially overpowering, but then there’s a nice grassy flavour after a few steeps. Tea page link here: https://iteaworld.com/products/minnan-narcissus-oolong-tea

Think I’ve only tasted about 6-7 different Oolongs.
If it had been a blind tasting, I would have sworn it was a black tea.
I tasted dark berries, baked goods and the first infusions have a slight medicinal bitterness at the back of the tongue.
A thoroughly enjoyable session. And the first time in several days that I have sat and enjoyed my tea gongfu.
Been with the family the last few days, ate way too good and way too much. So when I got home in the afternoon I drank shu grandpa style. And the stomach has enjoyed it.

I’ll start by saying that I don’t drink a lot of black tea. Buys mostly tea that is suitable for storage.
The lid of my gaiwan smelled of flowers after the first infusion. Don’t ask me which ones, I’m not a botanist.
The wet leaves smelled of baked goods with a dark undertone.
Tea reminded me of cake my grandmother and mother used to bake in the 70s and 80s. Lightly spicy and a little bit of cinnamon.
The 5th and 6th infusion had a little smoke.
Funny how tastes and smells can bring back memories. All the way through I sat and thought about my childhood.
The energy was very subtle. It came quietly. And was meditative.
