Holy Smokes, this will knock your slippers off. Billed as a breakfast tea, they weren’t kidding. I only brewed if for 3.5 minutes, instead of the recommemded 5 and it was super strong. One reviewer said it needed 7 to taste right. Definately a British style tea. In your face, no nuances. Good for those mornings when your brain is in a London fog.

This is billed as a breakfast tea and boy, is it ever. Strong, tannic, very British. Must have cream. Sugar if you like and there you are, in a British kitchen! Not many nuances here and a good bit of tannin

I brewed this for only the second time today since the mother was in town. For the life of me, I don’t know why I waited so long to revisit it. It’s exactly what you hope for in a promised title like “cream Earl Grey”. The high quality Ceylon tea base and vanilla/bergamot pairing work to outstanding effect to create a very sweet cup without the need for sugar. I also don’t know why I haven’t latte’d this yet. Tomorrow, maybe.

Smells like raisins, flowers, grain and chocolate. Very smooth, dark, heavy, bright with an almost harsh edge, which cream takes care of nicely. Next time I will use a bit more tea and brew it a bit less.

I didn’t think I liked black teas — then I tried this one, which immediately shot to the top of my favorites. It’s nice and smooth, as lovely to gulp as it is to sip. Tastes good on its own or with a little honey.

It smelled of wine, really good aged wood, and a touch of smoke. The smoke almost disappears in the tasting, and that is of baked wheat, well-aged red wine barrels, lots of depth and heartiness, although it is quite smooth

If you would enjoy a pear flavored Jolly Rancher melted into your Sencha tea, then you would enjoy this tea. However, though I love Sencha, this was not a tea I would ever drink again.

This makes me want to find a Jolly Rancher and melt it into my tea, just to see what it would taste like!

I love this tea! The black tea is rich and smooth – and the addition of strawberry and lemon is unique. I drink this with milk and a bit of sugar. Can’t wait to buy more!

Hey Melanie! Good to see you! :)

Jaime

I’ve been eyeing this tea. Is the lemon strong or sour/tart?

Melanie

No Jaime! I do not do sour!!! :-) It is a very gentle lemon – the strawberry is a little stronger, but what I love is that they are both background flavors to the tea. And I would never add milk to tea with real lemon in it – you’d get curds, but I can add milk to this tea and it’s delicious!

Jaime

I hardly ever add milk to tea, so I’ve never gotten curds. This sounds delicious, even though I do do sour!! I’m looking for a replacement for Teavana’s Sour Cherry Serenade. Of course, the first tea that I try from them, I fall in love with, and they retire it two days after I tried it!

Melanie

Ah… of course… Murphy’s Law :-) Well.. this is probably not the sour you’re looking for. Have you tried any of BourgeaTea? If you like Green Tea you might like their Green Citrus! Again – not real sour – but much more of the real pure citrus flavor than this one.

Okay…so…I’m drinking this right now with a splash of Vanilla Rice Milk in it. There is NO texture – it’s VERY smooth…almost paint like, thick, etc. This is alright. It’s a sweet green veggie type taste. It has a milky yet slight spinach-y aftertaste to it.

Cofftea

Haha I know what you’re saying, but the “paint like” actually made me gag LOL! Is this drinking grade or cooking grade? I just ask cuz of the brand name.

Cofftea

Wait a min… how do you know what the mouth feel of paint is anyway? TEAhehe:)

TeaEqualsBliss

OH!!!! I should have said that the LOOK of it in the CUP looks like paint!!!! LOL

Cofftea

Haha ok, now I can worry about you a lot less:)

Smooth…not as hefty as I wanted for my first cup but it’s not bad!

gmathis

I love “heft” as a tea adjective.

Well, not terrible but I find this a little soapy. Thankfully not overly so…but there is that taste that I am picking up. I’m sure it’s the smoothness of the actual tea along with the Bergamot flavor. I prefer Culinary’s other flavored EG’s better, however, I was able to finish the entire cup.

RachanaC (Rachel)-iHeartTeas

Soapy? That doesn’t sound appealing at all. No bubbles right? LOL :-)

WOW. This one is odd…but sometimes odd is GOOD, right!? Well, let’s see…

The dry smells like toasted peanuts with a slight woodsy smell hiding underneath. The wet leaves and post infusion liquid smells like soy sauce. Yes…It reminds me of soy sauce. The color of the liquid is a medium drab brown. The taste is surprisingly good. It has a nutty taste to it but also a roasted or toasted flavor as well as a little like mocha but oddly smoother than I anticipated.

Yeah…this one is odd but good. Not bad at all. Fairly Complex. Makes you think…

Thank you Doulton for allowing me the opportunity to try this tea.

Slightly bitter and a bit creamy. The maple is there but it is almost like a bully forcing him/herself into a situation that they are not invited to. I found this tea to be rough around the edges. I do see potential if the blend percentages were tweaked a bit.

Extra points were given for potential.

This is excellent! I like the trade of orange instead of the chemically or fake bergamot I have been tasting in eg’s lately. I like the lemongrass addition as well! Bold yet smooth finish!

I’ve been wanted to try a Watermelon Tea!!! Woot! Here it is…

This smells lovely a little more watermelon than kiwi. It just intensifies as you infuse. Ahhhhh! Awesome and flavorful aroma! It looks like a typical green tea.

The taste is wonderful! Incredible juicy and thirst quenching. You can still taste the mouth-watering green tea but it’s almost equally paired with the watermelon/kiwi tango-dance of goodness! YUMMY!

Caitlin

That sounds uber yummy!

-Jessica-

What?! Watermelon AND kiwi in a green tea!!?? Ooooooh I must try this one!
