243 Tasting Notes
Good tea: very fragrant leaves, aromatic brew, great tasting tea. The oolong is rich in flavor with a hint of almond as the final note. Drank hot with no additives. This is my first Adagio flavored oolong, but I must admit, I am intrigued and interested in getting more.
Preparation
Yogi tea LOVES LOVES LOVES their ginger. All I smell in the unsteeped tea bag is ginger. After brewed (5 minutes, hot water, no sugar) all I still smell is ginger. The taste is, you guessed it, predominantly ginger, but there is also a spicy burn, brought on mostly by cayenne and cardamom. With each sip, you smell the ginger, then taste ginger with sweetness, finally before it is gone, you are left with burning brought on by cayenne pepper.
I like it, it’s definitely different, spicy and strange, but I like it. Would definitely be better if it was blended with either a black tea, or a creamy flavored (like vanilla or coconut) tea.
Preparation
The first Adagio order anyone makes comes with a free tin of your Zodiac sign blend tea. This tea has no description or preparation directions. For this reason, I waited to be a little more experienced in averaging times based on visual of the tea. The leaves are very fragrant, long and pale green, this is a green and white tea blend. There is something very sweet in here, from previous teas, I believe it is the white peony that I am smelling.
When brewed, I am smelling the tea, very aromatic, sweet and floral. The tea has a slight peachy flavor which is muted with the plain subtlety from the White peony. There is a slight vegetal aftertaste, which is the green tea peaking through.
Overall, pretty good. I will definitely buy this when it runs out.
Preparation
I have been drinking all sorts of Adagio this weekend as one of my good friends got a huge set of samples. This was included in the sample pack. I had it before in one of the Twilight blended teas (Jacob’s Tears). I can now pick out the White Peony in that blend. I thought that was nice. Anyway, about this tea.
The leaves smell slightly floral and very sweet. The tea itself has a clean taste, you definitely smell and taste this tea at the same time while you are drinking it. I would have enjoyed the tea more if it was more floral or sweeter. Overall, was decent.
Preparation
This was good, I was very glad to get the chance to try this Zodiac blend. The dried leaves look like a black tea and smell like vanilla and hazelnut. This is going to be a very fragrant black tea. I brewed for 4 minutes, hot with no sugar. The brewed tea aroma smells like a breakfast black, almost a faint flavored-coffee scent with the vanilla. The taste is breakfast blend tea with a hint of vanilla. It was very good. Tried with a little bit of sugar, it made it slightly sweeter.
Preparation
Ahh, my personal favorite for a cold and rainy day. I have drank this so much now, I have perfected the art of this tea. Place two heaping teaspoons of the tea into infuser basket, add just below boiling water, cover and allow to steep for three minutes. Add a pinch of sugar to help bring the macadamia/almond/coconut blends to the surface. Remove infuser, poor and enjoy!
Since I have been drinking a lot of this, I will up the rating which I now notice is low. This is currently one of my favorite teas. Previous rating: 82.
Preparation
Absolutely delicious. Will brew another cup later to write a proper review!
I KNOW!=P Seeing this review makes me sad cuz I don’t have anymore:( I wonder how it’d be w/ milk or a little creamer?
Aww, I’m sorry, I know, I have one bag left to try, I don’t know if I will use sugar or milk or just milk or just go plain because it was so good plain, I definitely have to get back there to get more :)
I know the feeling, I have leaked teas out of the cabinet and off of the counter and onto the kitchen table permanently…
I have a lot of little samples so I’ll be emptying my cupboard into the traveling tea box- and can do so w/o increasing the weight:)
Tried this again. Attempted to make the dirty chai boiled in a pot. Wound up kinda making it, but it turned out really well.
Took two cups of hot water. Brought to a boil with 1 tbsp of German Rock Sugar. Once sugar dissolved added two heaping tea spoons of the Chocolate Chai tea. Boiled for three minutes, simmered for two (total 5 minutes brew time). Strained into mug and enjoyed.
The aroma is spicy. The taste is chocolate upfront followed by chai spice as the ending taste. Very delicious. Might be fantastic with milk, will try and add notes.
Preparation
Today was an incredibly busy day. I was hoping that after a super busy week, I would get to unwind a little at work with some Green Tea Tropical. I was wrong.
So to make up for it, I brewed up a pot when I got home today. It is very good and relaxing. The dried leaves smell sweet and fruity. The brewed tea is a green that is evenly blended with the sweet fruit flavors, neither over-powers the other making for a delightfully fresh cup of green tea.
Brewed hot, no sugar.
They’re all good! I like this one more than their flavored black. But if you’re looking for a peach oolong, compare their’s to their Dancong Aria- it’s technically unflavored, but I describe it as “peachy keen” lol.
*their almond flavored black
haha, good to know that they’re all good! i’m going to have to expand my horizons on the flavored oolongs :)
My favorite caramel tea is actually a caramel oolong from www.botanicalindulgence.com although I’m looking for a good caramel green. I’m not a black tea fan and I hate that there are so many more flavored blacks than green, white, oolong, yellow (have yet to find a flavored yellow), pu erhs.
you’re right… I have never seen a flavored yellow…
