This is by no means a bad tea, but I wish it had more of a kick to it. Perhaps a bigger ginger flavor. As it is, this is a decent cup of tea with some spice to it. Smells stronger than it tastes, a bit of ginger on the aftertaste. I do like that the black tea base isn’t bitter.

As always, I drank it straight.

This is definitely my favorite of their holiday tea collection. It’s sweet, but not too sweet, and I like the level of minty-ness. If they bring this back next year, I’m ordering a full-size tin.

No milk or sugar required.

This blend of masala chai is pretty aggressively spiced, which I like. Some of my housemates say that the peppercorns are too aggressive in the tea. I’d say that this tea is pretty spicy, but the tea leaves have a sometimes unfortunate tendency to bitterness, even though I steeped it less than the recommended five minutes.

I might have to try again with a gentler brewing. Then again, I drank it straight without milk or sugar, so that might be a factor.

This is the third time I’ve had a cup of this, and honestly, I love it.

It’s a mellow cup of tea with a coconut/cardamom flavor and a great way to unwind. I love chai, but always want some at the end of the day, when that caffeine would keep me owl-eyed all night. So far, this is one the better rooibos chais I’ve tried.

(Sidenote: I got this the first time I went to DAVIDstea, and I was so gratified when I asked for an ounce and the sales rep expertly poured out the tea, and didn’t ask me if more than that was okay. She did this with all the tea I bought that day, and it was refreshing.)

A very subtle tea with a sweet flavor. It says that it is flavored with tropical fruits, but I have no idea which fruits those may be. It’s vaguely fruity, but more of an aftertaste. I’m not sure if I’d buy this again over other teas. It’s still pleasant, though.

to sum up my second tasting note: when cold, this tea is much fruitier.

Tonight I put two bags of this in boiling water for six minutes and it was a very good decision. I could really taste the buttery cookie flavor. I wouldn’t say this is a “sugar cookie,” but it’s definitely a butter cookie taste, like a simpler version of DavidsTea’s Cookie Dough. No chocolate, no nuts. Just a smooth cookie flavor with a small orange aftertaste. I’m looking forward to buying another box of this at holiday time.

I like this tea more every time I have a cup. Smells strongly of blueberry in the bag, and although that same smell doesn’t transfer to the brewed tea, it delivers in flavor. The blueberry flavor is the right balance of sweet and tart and doesn’t overpower the white tea base.

This is one of my favorites out of their holiday set.

The dry leaves smell candy-like and sweet, and brewed up it delivers sweetness in the cup with a minty taste. The mint blends nicely with the black tea and it almost has a creamy taste to it. It tastes more like candy cane as it cools down.

This tea has a great peachy smell, but I just can’t get the same flavor out of it.

I steeped it about 4 minutes. The bloom was completely unfurled and the middle part is kind of unsettling to I look at…

The flavor itself is more of a jasmine/floral taste. I added some extra White Peach from Adagio I had into the pot, and that helped kick up the peach flavor. Second and third steepings have more or less the same light floral taste and still smell good.

This isn’t a bad tea, but I just expect more for something so expensive! I’ve had other blooming teas that were full of flavor and prettier. Definitely would never buy this at full price.

I got this teabag as a freebie from a promotion they were running when I went to their store.

I actually didn’t realize this was a rooibos until I opened the teabag. Good thing I wasn’t fiending for some caffeine.

This tea smells sweet and chestnut-y and tastes like sweet yams. I don’t usually put sugar in my tea, and this tea definitely does not need it. The second cup tastes even more like sweet potato. It’s a great fall flavor, but I’m not sure I’d buy a whole bag of this.
