I bought a cup of this tea from DAVIDsTEA quite a while ago, so I unfortunately can’t recall the taste of it too well at the moment. The fact that it didn’t make a huge impression probably speaks a little about the taste itself.
One of the the employees overheard my conversation with a friend where I stated that I didn’t think I’d be able to stomach anything that day, as I’d been severely thrown out of whack. The employee suggested a cup of The Skinny.
As far as the whole stomach calming properties of this tea go, I’ve gotta say, it works pretty well.

I bought a full tin of this tea before DAVIDsTEA came out with Cold 911 and while I never used to mind the taste, over time this one became far less appealing. While it seemed to help stave off a cold that I had coming on, drinking it multiple times a day for almost a week is not a course of action I would recommend with this tea.

It seems that the lemongrass becomes more potent with age, to the point where a friend of mine informed me that the smell alone made it seem like I was drinking Lemon Pledge instead of tea. It’s a shame that the flavour of this one isn’t one that I wish to keep coming back to since, as a cold remedy, it seems to work quite nicely.

If you’re looking for a good cold remedy and darn the taste, then by all means I recommend this one. For people less inclined to drink something that smells like Pledge I would suggest possibly giving this one a pass.

There is something about this tea that makes me think a bit of apple cider and it really is a great brew.

I’ve tried it both hot and cold. To be honest, I find that it’s just not as good cold; it really seems to lose something. Having tried it iced, I think my opinion of this tea has been slightly soured, which is a shame.

Gotta say, I definitely prefer it hot and unsweetened.

This is a lovely light tea. I’ve tried it a few times now, both iced and hot and I think I can say that I prefer it iced with a little bit of sugar.

It’s a sweet tea with a bit of a nutty flavour. Really makes for a lovely drink.

I’ve been searching for a loose leaf chai with this particular taste for quite a while and as much as I like the other chais available at DAVIDsTEA, they just haven’t quite managed to do it for me. This one, however, tastes just like the first chai tea I was introduced to.

I tried this one iced as their tea of the day and then ordered a sweetened one to go. The agave nectar added an extra taste to the tea that certainly didn’t go with the spice of the chai; definitely will be sweetening this one with sugar if I decide to add it to my collection.

This is one of my favourite peppermint teas. I purchased a couple boxes after going to high tea at the Banff Springs Hotel.

It makes a great strong brew, perfect for clearing out sinuses from head colds or allergies.

Definitely a fan of this tea.

There doesn’t seem to be much too say about this tea. It’s got a good flavour to it, but it honestly isn’t the most peppermint-y tea I’ve ever had. Still good though.

The fact that it’s caffeine-free is a bonus for me as I will drink it before bed, particularly when I’ve got a cold. Or if I AM cold. Or any old reason, really.

I do warn anyone purchasing this tea though that it is an extremely light tea. I learned the hard way that buying 100g of it from DAVIDsTEA is a whole lot of tea. I left there with two bags and one of their tins.
Good thing I like peppermint.

I was intrigued by this tea because of the unusual flavour – as with most of the teas from this herbal line, but I did not enjoy this one.

The taste was just…Blegh. Definitely not my kind of tea.

The name and description alone attracted me to this tea, because I am far too easily amused by things like the fact that this tea turns such a nasty colour. I purchased it online long before it was released for the summer season.

I’ve never put a sweetener in this tea; I find it’s pretty good all on its own, though if it’s not left to steep long enough the flavour can leave something to be desired as it will turn out a little bland.

I’ve tried it hot, cold, and room temperature – though that was more through neglect than anything else. Personally I’ve found it quite enjoyable at either hot or cold. The oily film it forms from the sprinkles is a little unpleasant to look at, but doesn’t seem to affect the flavour.

Dang this stuff is good.

Typically I like my loose leaf tea hot, which may or may not be affected by my struggle with getting iced teas quite right. This tea is definitely an exception to the rule; even my mediocre iced tea making skills aren’t enough to ruin it.

I first had it iced with a splash of agave nectar, all following times I haven’t had the nectar in it. Personally I prefer it with a bit of agave in it, but it does have plenty of sweetness all on its own.

Love this tea. It’s just a shame that the blend for it is so large.
