34 Tasting Notes
A bit on the smokey-cream side. I still personally prefer David’s Milk Oolong over this version if I am going to have a flavour altered oolong, though when tasted next to one another there are many similarities. This one doesn’t have the clean and airy mouth feel that the other does. Still, a pretty good brew. My boyfriend’s a big fan, and I love the design of the tin.
Preparation
I am in love. It’s perfect. It has beautiful citrus notes. It’s good hot or cold. It doesn’t need honey or milk, but it wouldn’t mind them either. It tells me I’m pretty. What’s not to like? Total dreamboat.
On a serious note, this blend is very well balanced between tea base and additives. The bergamont is not overpowering in the way I typically find it in Earl Grey’s. The tangerine oil they use is also a nice touch. I needed more close-to-classic rooibos blends in my life, and this one just appeared when I most needed it. The blue cornflowers accent the rooibos by lending only the slightest hint of a floral note.

Thank you for the offer, but I actually work for David’s so I’ve got a hefty supply myself. ;P I love the creme brulee! It’s one of my favorite rooibos teas from them.
Very refreshing, even served hot. A blend of Pai Mu Tan, Jasmine Silver Needles, and red Rooibos. I really liked the blending of white tea and rooibos. I find rooibos to be a bit earthy and almost tobacco like at times, so the white tea offset that quality nicely. It had a hint of a floral note to it due to the incorporation of Silver Needles.

This tea was AWESOME. It is the kind of black tea I can really get down with. Mint chocolate AND vanilla? It just spoke to me. The waitress recommended it to me, and I’m glad I took her up on the suggestion. One of the best I’ve had from them so far. I can easily replicate the flavour with teas I currently have, so I don’t think I’d ever invest unless someone got it for me. Definitely one I’ll get again in store or passing.
Flavors: Chocolate, Vanilla
I don’t understand how so many people are so crazy about this tea. No matter what or how I do it it’s just gross to me, and I love almonds and nut based teas. This one just doesn’t match it’s aroma at all. The aroma is amazing, but then you sip it and it’s just… boring.
Flavors: Cinnamon, Nuts
Preparation
This used to be one of my favorite straight teas until I found out the place they source it from started adding flavouring. Still, I have to give it props for being a completely unique oolong in flavour. That creamy/smoky flavour is unreal. Love how smooth it is, and each steep seems better than the last. I’ve gotten 8 steeps out of this tea before I had to call it quits. Flavouring aside, it’s amazing.
Preparation
Alas, another love lost from the David’s Tea collection. This tea was sadly discontinued, and while it not be the most amazing green tea the world has ever seen, I loved it because it made me love green teas. It brews a beautiful light yellow liquor. The flavour is reminiscent of a more steamed vegetable taste, kind of asparagus I would say. I really like having this one with a good arugula based omelette.
Preparation
If you are looking for something similar, their Gyokuro Yamashiro has strong notes of butter and asparagus :)
