Serious backlog here! I am sipping on this at this very moment! So, incredibly, perfect. This was my very first purchase from 52 teas and it won’t be my last! The buttery flavor really came through on this blend. It tastes sweet enough for me to not add anything and it has so many layers of flavor! I could drink this every morning, forever! A++ flavor!

I have to say that I’ve been steeping my tea a little differently and I just did this one today and its flavor is always a knock-out. I think that this is something that I should have ordered 2+ of!

I just received this yesterday. This is my first steeping and it is amazing! I have never had genmaicha before so the whole thing was an adventure. The smell of the leaves is very nice and the brewed tea is very much a toasted brew! I knocked off a few points for being less marshmallow-y than what I expected, but I will continue to play with the temperature and amount of tea.

I got this tea as a sampler in my Teavana order. It had the added rock sugar, which added quite a punch of sweetness. The only annoying thing about this bag was that it only had instructions for the whole sample and not individual cups of tea. I had to guess and my cup may have been weaker than most people drink it.
On to the flavor! This smells like cinnamon candies. But when I brewed it, the flavor was not overwhelming at all. It was sweet, spicy, cinnamon and just all over the best tea I’ve tried from them. It’s such a great blend! If the price was lower on this, I would order it next time!

What an enigma! I got this as a sampler from a Teachat member. It smells amazing in the pouch! I don’t know about the flavor. Lemon? Perhaps. The actual nuance escapes me every time I drink it. It’s not very lemony at all. Maybe in smell but I can’t quite get my self to figure out what it is it does taste like! It’s not something I would have picked out for myself, so to keep coming back in pretty interesting.

Alas! This is my last sample from the lovely Butiki teas. This is one dark brew! It smells strongly of cinnamon. The flavor is quite nice. It reminds me vaguely of cinnamon and apple sauce. In a very nice, spicy way. I really enjoyed this sample and wish I had more! I drank this without milk and I think that it would make a great latte type drink.

Thanks to Butiki for sending me these amazing samples! This tea is so beautiful. I’m not a prime source on white teas, but these leaves are covered in downy, soft, white fluffs. Which is just amazing. The brew reminds me of green veggies and almost like hay. The flavor is very soft and relaxing. It’s much more vegetal than most teas that I drink. But as I’m eating watermelon with it, it stands out beautifully. I didn’t plan on this pairing of drink/food but it’s surprising how well they match flavor wise! The only reason I’m lowering the score on this one is I don’t think it would be a good everyday tea for me personally.

This tea is very elusive for me. The first two steeps were a mess of epic proportions. This did not do well (at all!) in my tea ball. Mostly because it did not seem to let the chocolate bits melt well and this tisane is incredibly fine, so tea ball or not this was determined to fly around my glass. The temperature also has to be closely watched. I steeped this at too high of a temperature and really kills the flavor.
On to my first “successful” cup, it was just ok. I think what this lacks is a notable chocolate flavor. It smells of chocolate, but the flavor is just not there. I’m half tempted to throw chocolate in there, just to see if it’d help! It’s pretty much one dimensional in the flavor department. It’s very roasted tasting and the nut flavor is really there. I can’t tell if I could drink this on a daily basis, but the smell keeps calling me back. Overall, I’d say I would stick to the sample size. I’m starting to think that mate tisanes are just not my thing.

I picked this tea tonight for something light and refreshing. It sure fit the bill! I want to thank Butiki teas for sending me this sample. I was at first worried about the tea because it was close to my jasmine pearls and a lot of the smell rubbed off on it. But after steeping, it really didn’t change the flavor. The taste is not really “spicy” to me as much as minty. It’s an interesting mint because it’s not necessarily in the foreground of the taste. But it’s tasty nonetheless! I’m really digging the mint and the oolong flavors together and enjoy this a lot as a combination!

This will be my 3rd sample from Butiki teas. Thank you again! I had never had a very “floral” type tea before, but this is a great first impression. It’s very fun to watch as these pearls steep and I guess (for me at least) it adds to the whole tea experience. The flavor is very much jasmine. When I opened the bag it’s very in your face, hence my waiting to try this tea out of trepidation. But the flavor is smooth and the final taste is pure jasmine blossoms. I feel like I’m eating them! Which in this case, is not at all a bad thing. It’s very nice to sip slowly.
