This stuff is so good. I had to order some despite being determined to reduce my tea stash. I love finding something I enjoy without adding milk and sugar. It’s sweet on it’s own without being overly sweet. My new favorite at the moment, which is saying a lot, since I usually prefer black tea with milk and sugar.

Brought this and a few more samples to work so I can buzz through them and reduce my stash a bit.

I am just not liking this much. It finally occurred to me this morning “Well, why drink it then?” Life is too short for tea I don’t like. I gave it to my coworker who likes tea, so hopefully she will like it better.

I swear I reviewed this before, but the cupboard says I haven’t logged it.

This stuff is awesome. I love it so much. My favorite green tea ever. Absolutely no need to sweeten, the matcha gives it this perfect combination with the vegetal taste of the green and the smoothness of the matcha.

Must buy more…

Been drinking this as my work tea, and I am polishing off the jar today. The tea is good, I find it’s a nice office tea. The packaging it came in however is really annoying. It seems cute at first glance, kind of an apothecary jar vibe to it, but it comes with a tiny wooden scoop that they want you to spoon out 5 spoonfuls with for a cup of tea. I soon switched to a little plastic tea scoop I got in a Denver tea shop which I keep at work. Then it was a pain in the butt to get down to the last scoops in the jar unless you have a long handled scoop or teensy child-sized hands, which I do, but it was still a pain!

The tea itself is pretty mild, not a lot of bite from the ginger, just enough to flavor it a bit. The peach is the top flavor after the tea, which hasn’t been bitter in any of the cups I’ve tried. Nothing spectacular, but nice.

Bottom line:
Tea: Yes, if it’s on a good sale and you don’t really order teas online
Packaging: Kill it with fire

My lovely co-worker brought this little 2-bag pack to me this morning as a gift. I’ve seen it in World Market and passed it by, figuring the only thing it had going for it is the lure of the name of Ernest Hemingway. And I was correct – it’s inoffensive enough, drinkable but thoroughly unspectacular.

Just brewed up the last of this tea. I quite like the taste of it. It is definitely fruity, much more than most fruity teas you can get in a non-high end grocery. Like I mentioned in my previous review, I do not get a “jolt” of energy from this at all, it just seems to be normal tea. I say if you want an energy jolt, go for matcha. It gives me zing without a crash.

But anyway, this is good, but I don’t think the price matches up with its quality. I paid about six bucks and some change for 1.5 oz at Target. I can get 3 oz samples from Adagio of flavored teas for around the same price.

So would I recommend this? Taste-wise, yes, if someone were to offer me a cup, I would not turn it down. Will I buy it again? Not if the price remains the same without the amount in the package increasing.

I finally found a use for this stuff! Of course, it’s all gone now :D I used up my last 5 bags of this by brewing it up strong in my brown betty pot, icing it, and sweetening it with splenda. Now when I pour myself a glass I add rosewater, as I have been experimenting with making Lebanese tea at home. It’s pretty good. Needs lemon. The Greek/Lebanese Gyro place down the highway from me makes iced tea with rosewater and lemon, unsweetened, and it’s UH-MAZING. I only sweetened my clone at home because I am out of lemons and have been putting off my grocery run.

I need to try this with a Ceylon too, and see how I like that, as I think that’s more prevalent in Lebanon.

I know, I know, I should drink my teas faster than this :D It’s over a year old, but still tastes good. Still have about half a tin to go! It’s lightly smoky/malty, and very enjoyable for my Sunday morning pot of tea.

This makes a very nice iced herbal. I really want to swear off sodas again, so I need some good spring and summery cool drinks.

Still drinking this, but getting annoyed at all the stuff that slips through the infuser basket. I need to bring a finer mesh one into work.

It’s a grey, rainy day. I can’t wait to get home and brew up some Lapsang Souchong. Seems perfect for the day.

Bio

When I was a very young child, I swallowed an ice cube whole. It got stuck in my throat, and my mother had me drink hot tea to melt it away. That started a love affair with tea that has never abated.

I dabbled with Celestial Seasonings and other grocery store teabags for awhile, in my young and foolish days. But a few years ago, I received a tea of the month subscription from Adagio, and I found that there was a whole other world of tea out there that I had never experienced.

I love drinking tea, and I love the personal ceremony of making a glass or pot of tea for myself. It’s like a meditation.
