83 Tasting Notes
OK so I actually used the drip coffee maker to brew this as suggested. I’m not as excited today about it as I was yesterday. Maybe a little too earthy. This is a very strong mate. I was pretty excited for the boost of energy late in the afternoon yesterday. Not bad, just not sure if it will be my thing. I generally enjoy mate and was excited to try this one. It stays true to the Paraguay cutting methods. It has a lot of powder in the grind. It will make you think someone is mowing your yard by the smell whill it is brewing and it definitely has some of that in the taste also. Overall not a bad tea and I will probably keep some on hand for when I need a pick me up.
Preparation
This tea might actually be growing on me. I’m almost near the bottom of the tin so that makes sense. I am actually starting to appreciate the floral qualities. It has a sweet floral aroma that I found offputting at first but kinda enjoy now. Probably still not a regular tea for me since I prefer stonger taste profiles. But, not as bad as I originally thought.
Preparation
The citrus fruits come are very subtle in this one. It seems to be a very relaxing drink with no overwhelming flavors. Just a gentle rooibos with strawberry and peach being the most prodominate flavors in this cup. Not that any specific flavor dominates this tea. It is just a nice blend. I made enough for two cups so we will see if I still feel the same in a bit.
