127 Tasting Notes
unequivocally one of my favourites in the collection, that I end up never actually drinking because then it will get finished and I don’t want to run out… Ironic, I know. Regardless, this is a comforting blend of liquorice and aniseed, with a slight fruity twang to it. Quite nice indeed!
Flavors: Anise, Licorice, Sweet
Preparation
Retroactively updating my tea logging.
I made this bird and blend sample in my travel cup and as such it was steeped rather long as I crossed the country.
This one isn’t my favourite, it seems a bit bitter and rind-ey for a lemonade flavour. I am aware that could be the steeping time, but it is as it is. This rind flavour kind of overpowered the strawberry, which on its own wasn’t unpleasant but the whole became a bit soapy towards the back of a sip.
Flavors: Lemon, Lemon Zest, Soap, Strawberry
Preparation
I was having a real craving for a Turkish apple tea. As I explained to a friend “no, not one of the good apple teas…the sugary stuff they sell to tourists”, so I was very excited to find this one. it’s very nostalgic, reminding me of holidays with my grandparents. It’s sticky sweet and tastes like slightly artificial apples.
Flavors: Apple, Sugar, Sweet
