165 Tasting Notes
This is one I kept going back to and smelling but never trying. The first few times I smelled it in store, I really didnt like it at all. I picked it up about 2 weeks ago when they had a sale on pre-packaged teas. When I brought it home and smelled it, it was really different than what I had smelled in-store. This one surprised me and I do intend to buy more when I run out.
What a surprise, this one was pretty good! I didnt know what to expect so I only got 10g of this. I would definetely drink again but not all the time. One thing I do suggest is to steep it a bit longer than suggested; this tea is quite mild in flavour and 1-2 minutes longer really helps to bring out the flavours more.
I got this for free from an employee who I began chatting with about teas. The store didnt carry any but he had some in his personal collection he offered to share. I was really excited to try this tea but I was dissapointed with the taste. I dont know how to describe it…it was just wierd. I’m glad I tried it and did manage to finish the cup but will not be getting any more.
As I have said in other tasting notes, I am not the biggest fan of nutty teas. I did like the smell and surprisingly enjoyed this enough the first time to finish the cup. However, the second time I drank this, I really didnt love it as much as the first and probably wouldn’t get any more.
I picked up 10g of this yesterday and am drinking it for the first time now. The smell is really strong and minty but with a bit of a twist which I can’t really describe. This tea is really different from any thing that I would normally drink. I do like it but I can’t see myself drinking it every day. This is one I would definetely recomend to anyone who likes mint and bold flavours. I find that the mint in this tea is what you taste first and the other ingredients follow as the mint mellows down. For all the bold flavours, it is really not overpowering like I expected.
This one surprised me…I only got 10g of this the first time to try but now I have a 100g tin. The smell is like caramel popcorn which immediately attracted me to it. I prefer to steep this only slightly as I find that is when it tastes the most like buttered popcorn. I have tried steeping it longer and have found that the flavour becomes more like sour apples.
