429 Tasting Notes
I actually bought this as it was 100% Keemun to mix with my Lapsang Souchong. I decided to try it alone this morning. Its actually a very nice tea all alone. Its a very mild Keemun and easy to drink w/o sugar or milk. I can taste a very slight sweetness on my tongue as I sip. The kick I get reminds me of morning coffee and is very eye opening. A very enjoyable cup and I will drink more of this in the mornings.
Preparation
This is a good smooth tasty tea, but I think it could use just a little more lapsang souchong in it. Thats just my tastes though, I like smoky tea. It is an enjoyable tea and I could drink it everyday.
Preparation
I just love a good Earl Grey and this one is one of the better ones that I have had. Its smooth, slightly sweet, and tasty. It has just the right amount of bergamot and its really a pleasure to drink. I added 1/4 tsp of splenda and it brings out the bergamot.
Preparation
This is a very nice tea for a tea bag. You can taste the ginger and cardamon. You can also smell it coming off the hot tea. I added about 1/4 tsp of splenda and this tea is very warming and satisfying. It is organic and very tasty.
Preparation
I’m in love with this tea. I’ve had my can of Caravan about 2 weeks and its just about gone. I wish I knew how much of each tea was in this blend because I would try to blend it up myself. I do have an idea and I may try anyway. I just wish I could buy this tea from them w/o the other 2 teas. I’m looking at my empty cup and wishing it was full again. Is this like an addiction? “sigh”
Preparation
I’d say it’s getting close to an addiction at the very least. Perhaps you can put an inquiry out on the discussion board and see if there’s anyone who’s gotten Series 3 who would like to trade you for a tin of one of the other ones?
I bought this tea at my health food store. The tea is in fine rolled pellets hence gunpowder. Its a very mild tea and I didn’t taste any smokiness which by the way I enjoy in tea. This tea was just bland to me. I have had Adagios gunpowder which I enjoyed because of the slight smoky flavor. The tea is organic but I really just did not enjoy this tea.
Preparation
I really like this tea. Its lightly smoky because of the Lapsang Souchong in it. Its not a heavy tea. I can taste other tea in the blend but I’m not able to tell what it is. Its very similar to Caravan but not as strong. Its good, but I would prefer a little more smoke in it.
You can drink it w/o sugar or milk. I may buy some Lapsang Souchong and add it to the blend to see what I come up with.
Preparation
This is my second cup of EG this morning. This EG is one of the more mellow and tasty that I have drank. The bergamot is not overpowering and the teas with it are quite good. My only wish would be that I could buy this tea and Caravan without the jasmine from Andrews and Dunham.
Preparation
This is my standard go to tea I’m having this morning. I can taste the tea and the bergamot. Its easy and taste the same every time. Thats what I like about it. Just the perfect blend and I’m happy this morning. :)
Preparation
Eventually, I’m going to have to try Twinings’ loose leaf. I had a big ol’ box of their bagged Earl Grey at one point and I only got through about 3 bags before determining that I didn’t want to finish the rest.
I liked this a lot also, too bad I only had a single serving sample…
I like it very much and buy t in 4 oz tins. I use it for blending a lot.
Yea, I just looked at their website and it is pretty affordable compared to most sites. I will definately be getting some more.
