429 Tasting Notes
I do believe that this is the only tea that stash makes in a tea bag that I like. You can taste and smell the coconut. You can tell there is fruit in it but I can’t tell which one, they say mango. The oolong does taste like oolong. Its an ok tea but nothing to write home about. Its also the only tea my wife drinks with any regularity which is why its in my cupboard.
Preparation
So, I’m sitting here bored and thought I would do a little blending on my own. I used Lapsang Souchong, Keemun, and Formosa Oolong. All of these teas are from Harney and Sons. I surprised myself, this is a real smooth blend similar to Caravan and Russian Country. The tea had no bitterness and was really tasty. I love the smokiness in this blend of tea. Its so easy, I just used equal amounts of each tea. I’m not going to rate this tea as it is something I put together, but I love it.
Preparation
This is a delicious tea. Its like dropping chocolate covered hazelnuts into your tea. A great tea for a cold snowy day. Its very warming and I added 1/4 tsp splenda which brings out the cocoa in this tea even more. A very comforting tea and I like it very much.
Preparation
Whoever thought that they could put guava in tea. I can smell and taste the guava. The tea is beautiful as you can see the marigolds and cornflowers in the tea. I can taste a little of the strawberry and not the coconut. I’ll keep trying. Its an exotic blend of green and black teas. The tea is very light and easy to drink w/o milk or sugar. Its a very nice change of pace.
Preparation
Second time today with this tea. I changed the steep time to 3 min and the water temp to 200. This was a much better cup of tea. The taste was nutty and yummy. After this cup I need to up my rating. I’m still trying to figure out why the tin said boiling water for a 5 min steep. That is way too much for this tea..
