This is much better than the Tropical Green I had yesterday. This tea is rich and nutty tasting. I am trying to like green teas but its really not easy, I’m working on it. I just need to order some quality green teas. This one is not bad.

I scrolled through some of your recent notes, and it looks like you are using pretty hot water and long steeping times for the green tea. Have you tried using water that’s 170 – 180 and short times, 1-2 minutes? For houjicha, how you steep doesn’t matter as much, but for the Bancha and Tamayokucha you’ve had, try using a much lower temp. and a shorter time and see what you get!

This is an ok tea with a tropical flavor but what I’m missing is the green tea taste to go along with it. The tea bag is really huge and I was expecting a grassy tropical green tea. What I got was a fruity tea with not much green. It sure looks like huge green tea leaves but now I’m wondering about the quality of the green tea base. This was bought at T. J. Maxx and was very inexpensive. There were 4 different flavors (15 bags) in the box and I really hope I like some of the other flavors.

Yes, this tea is fannings in a bag but with a 2 minute steep it brews up an eye opening experience. The tea is malty and strong and I really love it.

This is my second go round with this tea and I really like it better this time. It has a nutty peppery finish to it while being vegetal and a little buttery. It is a light tea with no bitterness. The tea bag is huge with actual leaves and I intend to use it a few more times before it gets recycled. I liked this tea.

Fantastic Oolong, excellent coconut taste. It steeps up light in color but the taste makes up for it. This tea really tastes of coconut.

I must say that this is one fantastic Oolong. I’m not very experienced with this type of tea having drank only Harney & Sons Formosa Oolong. The tea is very floral with hints of baked apricot. At first I thought I had used too much tea. One teaspoon unfurled to a large mass of leaves. The tea is naturally sweet and imparts a warmness though out my being. It steeps to a nice golden color. I will be buying more of this tea.

The second and third steeps of this one were as good as the first. The third seemed a little more buttery.

First I have to say that I really dislike gingerbread. I’m not rating this tea for that reason. I don’t feel that my dislike should in anyway distort the ratings for this tea when so many others do like the taste. I could only manage one sip but I do have to say that my granddaughters loved it.
