A very clean, very smooth oolong aroma and taste. Deserves the pure name. From the zealong web site, it requires a little more tea for the water volume, and many steeps should be possible.
Short steep. Very smooth. Delicious. Slighty more astringent than their Iron Goddess. Leaves unfurled quickly. Noticed more stems (with leaves) in the tea.
Tasted at 1 minute, and detected a nice maltiness. Steeped further to two minutes, and flavor became very woody. As the tea cooled, slight maltiness returned. Next time, 1 minute only.
Not a fan of Jasmine Green Tea, but this was a very pleasant surprise. More floral then I expected, and very drinkable. I did notice the increased bitterness as it cooled, but it was never too bad.
Bumping the rating on this. Sweet, no bitterness. The flavors are very subtle. Definitly nutty. And vegital, but I’m not sure what. And, indeed, the leaves do stand up when infused.
