51 Tasting Notes
So today was evidently maple day on steepster? so many maple tea notes today. I decided I was gonna grab a cup of Oh Canada again. Did I ever tell you how much I like this mix? Oh yeah, like four times. I’m serious though, it gets better everytime….
Maple and tea go well like peanut butter and jelly. Speaking of peanut butter and jelly…. YUMMMM, Im in that sort of mood now. Comfort food friday!
Anyone daring enough to make peanut butter and jelly tea? I think it would be awesome. If it doesn’t already exist. it might becauseb theres so many smart tea people out there.
oh where was I? MAPLE TEA IS AWESOME!
52Teas has a peanut butter and jelly tea… well, it’s rooibos. http://www.52teas.com/2010/03/30/03-29-10-pbj-rooibos/
I can’t do peanut butter tea. I have what I think to be a fairly liberal palate and am willing to try a lot of things, but, I even gag at the thought of peanut butter tea.
I wish he’d do even a black based Pb&J and I’m not a black tea person. Raspberry flavoring especially in tea can be very “jammy”- I’ve used that term a lot.
it was more a fruity tea with hints of peanut butter? i didn’t get enough PB in my 52teas PBJ for me (i love PB!)
I saw the one for 52 tea. Looks interesting but from what I read, seems too fruity more than peanute buttery.
Still PB&J as a tea, MIND BLOWING :D
Had this tea this morning. The flavors were a little dull of me, but it still hit the spot for the morning. The japenese green tea is a great tradition in the tea world and a definite must for all tea enthusiasts. Like I have said before, the flavors weren’t as esquisite as I would have hoped. but still good for the morning :D
CHOCOLATE RUSHHHHHHHHHH.
Hit the spot. My mom asked me to go do some gardening, so I did. And rewarded my goodness with super chocolate. That’s right!
As mentioned in my other tasting note for this one, it has the chocolate aroma but not as much chocolate as I would have bargained for. but today it hit the spot just right!
gottaaa love maaa chocolateee.
I bought a tin of this tea as I like it a lot, and surprisingly every cup produces a flavor that grows on me everytime. This is a maple tea so I had the genius idea of having pancakes and maple syrup this morning, with nothing else but a nice hot cup of OH CANADA!
What can I say, the contrast of flavors between the hot tea and the pancakes was fun and intriguing. If your Canadian ( Like me ), be patriotical and drink OH CANADA, and watch hockey ( because hockey is an awesome sport, go habs go ).
What’s your team? :P
Well we lost 6-0 yestersay against the flyers. so boo :(
My cup of tea this morning was a recovery from the harsh game last night lol
SABRES!!!! (we’re almost in Canada!!! LOL)
I created a Signature Blend at Adagio called the GOOSE IS LOOSE for Paul Gaustad! (We call him GOOSE)
Awesome. I was in toronto two years ago and met the entire team outside the air canada center. Including Lindsay Ruff.
Why do you call Paul Gaustad Goose? lol
And yeah Buffalo is close enough ahha
LINDY is cool!!! Buffalo LOVES him!
GOOSE is basically from the Gaustad Name and the Announcer Rick Jeanerrette
Moroccan Mint tea is a classic of all teas, especially as it was the first tea I ever had.
My grandmother makes it all the time with sweet deserts and pastries. I am not the biggest fan of mint, but I think with deserts and a little bit of splenda sweetener it’s pretty unique.
The perfect way to do this custom tea is to use actual green tea leaves and mint tea leaves, once again this one is a classic.
This tea is pretty much how the company describes it, a chocolate aromatized tea with just the right amount of cinnemon. I was pretty happy with this cafeine free tea, it’s really one of those mood boosters that leave you wondering how did they get that unbelievable aroma of chocolate in an organic, cafeine free tea. I never add sweetener to tea, so maybe that’s why it wasn’t as sweet as I would have liked it, but it was still pretty interesting.
