I blended this tea with Strawberry blush rose, also from Teavana. It is a nice mix of peachy, jasmine, strawberry fruitiness that I really enjoyed served hot. My new favorite!

My friend and I went to Tea Gallerie’s tasting room. They offer “flights” where you can try several different teas before you buy. Scottish caramel pu-erh was hands-down my favorite. The heavenly smell of caramel and butterscotch wafts up from the cup before your first sip. As you drink, you can taste the yummy deep pu-erh flavor but it is tempered by the smoothness of the caramel. I couldn’t stop drinking this one!! So yummy!

I love this one. I got it from Angelina’s Tea. Add some milk and maple syrup and its like Irish cream

Tea Gallerie also had a really nice reserve milk oolong that I liked. I’m so glad I got to try some of their teas. Thanks for the recommendation boychik—that sounds delicious! I did bring some home so will have to try it!

Don’t forget to rinse it first since its puerh. Few secs;)

Thank you for reminding me. I’ve never had a pu-erh before. Do you rinse it lightly or more than that?

This one just cover with boil water and 3-5 sec is enough. Don’t worry it’s so strongly flavored, you will not wash it out.

drank Cha Yen Thai by Teavana

Enjoying this Cha yen Thai tea mixed with Black dragon pearls also from Teavana (1 tsp. black dragon to 2 tsp. cha yen). It makes a very nice Thai iced tea with milk and sugar. And I love Thai food and Thai tea, so this is yummy. However, I am having serious cravings now that I am on Steepster for some “non-Teavana” teas—I can tell there is big budget breaker coming up in my future in the tea category lol!

Thank you! I fear for the future tho lol—I already have 50 new teas on my wish list! I’m just hoping I don’t end up at like 300 eventually and then have to sleep on the floor so my tea and my dogs can have the bed lol!

I think that a collection that size would warrant a room of its own. You know, so you dont have to sleep on the floor. :-)

Enjoying some Strawberry Paraiso mixed with Strawberry Cream from Teavana. They make a nice, light mix with lots of strawberry flavor. Just what I was looking for after waking up way too early this morning—however I did discover the Oyster app (unlimited books! yay!) with tea and new books I’m a happy girl even up at 3:30 a.m lol!

Thank you! I’m so excited about Steepster lol—so much fun! But I can tell already that it will cause my budget so much trouble lol—too many teas!! At least it will be fun trouble lol! Congratulations to you on your new classroom—that is so awesome! I was a high school teacher for ten years so I remember how exciting it was to set up everything for my students to help make a great learning environment! I love that you teach music—best of luck to you in the new school year! :)

Where in San Diego? I grew up there, back in the 70’s, attending school in PB. That was a long time ago! :D

That’s awesome! I lived in PB for a little while after I graduated from UCSD—now I’m up in Rancho Bernardo. I was born in San Diego and I love this city—so blessed to live here!! :)

That’s for sure—San Diego has become sooo crowded! But it’s still a beautiful city.
Just with a lot more traffic lol! :)

Having some Javavana mate with some cacao black mint (both by teavana). The mix of the two is very nice on ice with milk—like a light version of a mint mocha. This one goes down way too fast lol.

Bio

I grew up drinking black teas every night before bed because of my Canadian mom (guess I didn’t have trouble with the caffeine lol). She taught me to love black tea. Then when I graduated university I lived in Japan and learned to love green tea. But it is just now that I am branching out into trying new kinds of teas—oolongs and rooibus, herbals etc. because of a trip to Teavana with a friend. I have a lot more to learn about tea and because of Steepster I can see that there are many new teas to enjoy! I’m looking forward to learning and hopefully someday I will be able to talk intelligently about tea—lol please forgive my limited understanding of the tea tasting process at this point! I love reading everyone else’s really cool tea tasting notes! :)
