5g / 400ml ceramic pot
5m @ 100C

Sample from Teabox. Classic darjeeling, astringance balanced by a fresh citrus, dry on the tip of tounge. Somewhat on the light side, will use less water in next pot.
First of 15 autumnflush samples! jummy!

Anna was kind enough to remind me i infact had a jasmine tea in my cupboard. Found it faaaar in the back.
Very seldom drink jasmine teas. To me it is a very comforting tea for a late night in front of the fireplace.
This tea uses my alltime favorite white teas. The flavour of the tea balances the jasmine perfectly.
Perfect before bedtime :)

I’ve infected you with jasmine fever! This tea sounds great though, totally envious of your bedtime cup.

10g / 180ml Banko-yaki kyusu, water from kunzan tetsubin.
Multiple infusions.

1m/5s/5s @ 80C
10s/15s/15s @ 85C

Nice sensha, however first infusion had a little to much astringancy. will do 45s next time.
Was nice to use my tetsubin warmer with a teacandle in it. The light it casts is beutiful in an otherwise dark room!
Good times!

6g / 90ml celadon gaiwan. water from kunzan tetsubin.
wash/25s/35s/50s/1:05/1:20/1:40 and so on.

Benn sipping this tea for awhile now as company for the movie “Argo” must say i would NEVER guess this was a japanese tea. In a blindtest i would say heavy oxidized wuyi oolong. The taste is very much like da hong pao. But it laks that charred flavour, its not as intense as a nonpareil DHP. But considering the price its loads of bang for the buck :)
after 5-6 infusions there is a clear woody note. otherwise it still keeps a strong flavour. Good quality.

5g / 90ml celadon gaiwan. water from kunzan tetsubin.
wash/25s/15s/25s/30s/40s/1m/+20s per following steeping. Water @ 90C

Oh this tea is just magnificent. first infsuions is shockful of grapefruit and lots of cinnamon. It is as if someone squeezed frsh grapefruit into my cup! Later steepings tasted less of grapefruit and more cinnamon.
The tea is rolled into tiny pearls but unfolds really nice. My gaiwan was filled to the brim with leaf.
will try and find more of this when i get a chance. Very expensive thou. But it can handle a #"¤"load of infusions.

3g / 200ml glaspot.
3m @ 90C

Perfect cup of first flush. Singbullis firstflush is a powerfull cup. Nice and brisk the way i most enjoy a darjeeling. A tinge of spicyness on the tounge.

Refilled my tins from my Indian teabox. Found that i had a faitbit left of the arya pearl white tea. huzzah! bu since I am all out of second and autumn flush i went abit overboard ordering new teas. Even ordered a samplepack of assam! Thunderbolttea.com has 20% of today. My favorite store for darjeeling tea.

since today is laundyday i will be sipping loads of tea :)

Todays second sipdown.
10g / 360ml banko-yaki kyusu water krom kunzan tetsubin.
Two infusions
3m/5m @ 80C

Well this darjeeling white is a marvell so light but still full of flavour. A bit of nuttiness mixed with citrus. I feel almond? The flavour spreads over the whole pallet. Very nice. Will likely restock next harvest.

5g / 400ml ceramic pot.
5min @ 100C

Sipdown! Good breakfasttea. Pretty much as darjeelingy as a darjeeling gets. Nice balance to this one and im sad to see it run out. but alas i will have to wait for the autumnharvest to finish in darjeeling before i can restock. will restock on second flush teas then aswell!

That’s a longish steep for a Darjeeling. I guess it doesn’t get bitter.

Dag Wedin

Yes, 5m is common for autumnflush. The tea has a slight bitterness to it but it is well balanced. So it hightens the flavour.
With first and second flush i think usually 3m is perfect.

Doug F

I’m a regular first and second flush drinker but I’ve never had an autumnal. Good to know.

4g / 300ml in ceramic pot.
Single infusion 5m @ 90C

This is by far my favorite breakfast tea. :)
The taste is just wonderful, like a Shu puer but with a perfect mix of powerful astringancy and sweet ripe fruit. Today i taste peach. ^^

Wont ever wat to run out of this!

Do you buy PdT when you travel, order it online, or can you actually get their stuff in Sweden?

Anna

Aw, too bad – I was hoping for some additional incentive to go to Gothenburg, haha.

Dag Wedin

:D well we have a really nice teashop. https://www.facebook.com/Tekultur. got plenty of nice tea.

Anna

True, Tekultur is awesome.

Terri HarpLady

Looks like an awesome teashop! Even though I don’t speak Swedish (except when I’m using Google translate, haha), I love that I can go on any tea site of any language, & figure out what’s what, more or less :)

Anna

The universal language of tea.

Very floral and even taste all infusions. a small hint of bitter citrus.
I do prefer more heavily oxidized oolongs. But it is kinda nice.

I enjoy this one & others like it from time to time, but I love the sweeter big red robe types better :)
