Wonderful!
I have always adored peppermint and the mix with licorice and cinnamon worked well. The tea had a sweetness to it that reminded me of honey.

Perhaps i would like to try to add some silver needle to this blend ^^

Wow, this is the best blend so far!
Strong, full of well balanced flavours. There is ginger and a pepperlike tone to it, fresh!
Thank you for this sample Terri. :)

This is my favorite of all the Verdant Blends, & I really do love this one. The Shu puer they use in this changes, depending on what they have on hand, & I do feel that the very first formulation was the best one, but I have enjoyed this incarnation as well! Glad you like it! :)

Tonights blend accompanied with a crispbread sandwish :)

Hm this feels like a wintertea, full of spicy cinnamon. I cant really say yes or no, it is ok but not great. Perhaps it would be a good with some rice porridge?

I like it with a little maple syrup or stevia :)

ah perhaps some sweetening brings out the flavour. It sure did in that Yabao snickerdoodle tea.

Ah full and creamy for a first flush, similar to the second flush yet lighter.
The apple is still there mixed with a dry sweetness. Light astringancy.

I would say this tea is somewhere between first and second flush. Very nice, Arya continues to impress me with their consistant level of quality.

Now of to the gym for a late workout… been out enjoying the summer!

First try from the ample selection provided by Terri. Such a wonderful teabox full of goodies :)
The name of this blend caught my attention, however the flavour was not what i expected. I envisioned a tea mor “citrusy” indead i was welcomed in by the spicy warmth of this tea. I tasted mostly cinnamon/cardamon, reminded me of christmas :)

Lightyears ahead of any swedish blend i´ve tried. Seems i have a new world of tea to explore! Thank you Terri Harplady!

Wow! I can’t believe you got my box already! In less than a week! It always takes 10 days to get a box to Toronto.

I really enjoy this blend! Glad you like it!

Wow!
Read one of Terri:s reviews of a roasty oolong a while back and i´ve been itching for some wuyi gong -fu. Tonight i wathced the final episode of “How i met your mother”, it was… wait for it…. Legendary ;)

To accompany the show i brought out the wuyi heavy artillery and I was not dissapointed.

6g (half-full pot)120ml yixing pot, water from tetsubin.

20s +15 per steeping. clear roasty notes, but it doesnt take over there is some flowery notes as well. Very well balanced! And strong, the last steep i forgot and oversteeped by two minutes. This session got me teadrunk… :)

highly recommended.

Always glad to inspire!

I’ve never watched How I Met Your Mother. My son Drew (age 25) loves that show, & has said that if he ever starts wearing nice clothes, he will pattern his wardrobe after Barney’s. :)
This will be one of those series that Tony & I watch, a season at a time on pajama days, most likely.

Second attempt @ this tea.
Hm recommended steeptime is 10 minutes@85-90C
First try i used a sado red clay teapot, result was bloody awesome! this time around i used a glaspot and the result is somewhat paler. Somewhat spicy with more than a hint of astringancy mixed with an almost green floral note with hints of burnt butter.

Still this tea sure packs a punch for a white tea, although the taste is more like a first flush darjeeling oolong. Got enough for another try!

Happy teatime!
