I am finishing my last mug of this tea today—an act which is bittersweet, as I loved this tea, which is from 2013. I must have drank this tea a lot in December one year, because it now reminds me of Christmas.

This was a gift from my sister; cute because my dad loves snickerdoodles, and we seemed to have inherited the fondness for them. However, this tea really doesn’t remind me of a snickerdoodle, which I primarily associate with cinnamon and butter, at all. This is very much an almond tea, and light on the cinnamon. That said, it’s a pleasant almond tea. I enjoy it with milk and sometimes some honey.

This is one of my favorite teas. It’s really does taste like a hot version of a honey dew melon…and that works. It has a bright, fresh, fruity taste. It’s perfect when I want something light (vs black tea with milk) and flavorful. I’m sad to be nearing the end of my tin—but enjoying every cup of it! :)

The artificial flavors are a bit too much for me in this tea. I was gifted it by a Canadian relative and I want to like it… the maple scent is tempting! But I end up dumping a lot out each time because it just tastes ‘off’ or ‘fake.’

A delicious fruity earl grey. I love it with milk and it’s also divine in earl grey shortbread cookies.

The strawberry flavor is strong with this one. Colleagues can smell it when I am drinking a cup in the same room.

I often drink multiple cups a day of this tea at work during the fall and winter. It’s not fancy (it’s a ground tea in a teabag, so adjust your expectations accordingly), but I think it’s a very nice, basic spiced black. Enjoy it with milk and occasionally some honey!

For comparison, I have the option of free bagged Tazo chai at work — this is better.

I ordered this at the Bend location last Thanksgiving break, and it was so amazing (yerba mate energy + spicy chai = YES PLEASE) I bought a few ounces to take home with me to Chicago. WELL, that only lasted a week because I drank it every day and a mug of this will run you a whole Tbsp. So then I proceeded to tell my husband for about the next 9 months how much I missed this tea…and he got me 20 oz for my birthday! Good man. I now have a HUGE bag of this tea, and it’s a perfect warming, spicy chai for fall and winter.

Make sure to brew it WITH warm milk, as instructed. I tried adding milk in after, as I do with many black teas, and found that it ended up bitter. I think brewing it with the milk mellows it out a bit.

Color: the drink starts off a light brown and turns green if it sits for awhile (from the mate).

Not very drinkable; there’s a tartiness that I suppose could be called fruity, but there is really nothing enjoyable about it. I think it’s actually hurting my throat. Honestly I don’t think I’m going to be able to finish this mug—going down the drain.

Got this as a sample sachet in my last Harney order. When you open up the sachet, you really do get a smell of Caribbean fruits! It was a short mental vacation to the beach :)

The liquid is less fruity than the smell of the dry tea would suggest, though. Not sure how I feel about green-black tea mixes. Don’t think I’ll be investing in this one.

I love this tea. Maybe more than I should. But what can I say—it’s delicious and magical and brings back fond memories. And did I mention peachy, gingery, and delicious? Not to mention the tin is ADORABLE.

I recently had a friend bring two tins of this back from Disneyland for me :) Looking forward to LOTS of MAD tea parties!!
