Great outdoor seating option, if you can happen to visit on a pleasant day—though if there is an event going on, you might get some noisy entertainment, as well
Visited this Samovar location with a friend this summer and thoroughly enjoyed it! The food was great; I had the duck jook. The tea artwork is fun, and the seating design at the front and back booths looks so luxurious, I feel like I’m in an oriental tent sipping exotic tea
As Will said, really friendly, knowledgeable staff. Highly recommended.
Now Chicago has its own DAVIDs TEA shop! Get your loose leaf DAVIDs TEA, adorable design-y teaware, and great gifts like their 24 Days of Tea advent calendar! Usually have free samples and you can go in and smell the teas for yourself :)
A couple friends and I met up at Lovejoys on a Sunday morning this past summer. What a lovely little place. It’s a popular place for bachelorette parties and baby showers. There was one of each while we were there, I think, as well as a mother with her two daughters who were dressed up as princesses :) It’s that kind of place.
Make a reservation and take a few of your girl friends for High Tea! The teas are delicious (I particularly recommend the rose and the hazelnut), as are the scones and the tea sandwiches!
I always stop by Argo Tea when visiting Evanston. And I usually have at least two large Yerba Mate Lattes with almond milk before I leave! Unique taste and such a pleasant place. It’s pretty small, but there are a couple small tables for 2 people or 1 studier, and a bar along one of the windows.
The food doesn’t quite match up to the tea, though…so plan to eat elsewhere.
