2519 Tasting Notes
Finally finishing last year’s Christmas sampler from David’s. The teas came in the cutest wreath packaging. When I first tried this, I liked it, but this time, I felt pretty unimpressed. I added milk, sugar, and vanilla to make it tastier. I really enjoyed the Teavana Earl Grey Cream, and I wish I liked this as much. It’s pretty bland. Maybe it’s just how I prepared it this time though.
I drink some kind of Adagio rooibos every day, and this is what I have currently, so I’ve been drinking a lot of it. I definitely wish it were offered in a smaller size because I wouldn’t have wanted four ounces of this one. It looks pretty, but it tastes almost like plain rooibos. I would have liked to taste the other flavors more. Certainly not bad, but I wouldn’t choose it over other options.
The flavors go so well together. I add a bit of sugar because…I add sugar to all my teas! So it’s a pleasantly sweet and spicy combination. I’ll be sad when this one is gone, but I don’t know if I’d order again at its current price. I’d be more likely to try to make my own. I’ve got some dried sage leaves, so I’m partway there!
I’ve really enjoyed 4/5 teas that I’ve tried from them, and I have two more that I haven’t opened yet. Capri is probably my favorite other than Cocteau, which was discontinued. I’ll be interested to see what you think of their teas! Their marketing and flavor combos definitely intrigue me.
It tastes like sweet potatoes and smells very buttery. Definitely one of the stranger teas I’ve tried, but I really enjoyed it. I made a second steep and put it in the fridge for later, and it tasted every bit as strong as the first steep. Tasty hot or cold. I wouldn’t drink this all the time, but I’m so glad I tried it.
Thanks Cameron B for the exchange.
I’m sad that I don’t seem to like red rooibos anymore, because I used to really like this tea! Maybe I’ll give it another chance some evening this weekend… :)
I absolutely love all rooibos (except Harney rooibos for some reason). Maybe I should’ve rated this even higher. It’s pretty great. Definitely try it again! (:
I like the idea of Earl Grey Cream teas, but I’ve never found one that I’ve liked… :P
Definitely let me know if you find a winner. I’m yet to find an adequate replacement!
It looks like you can still get Teavana’s Earl Grey Crème in sachets. So if that’s your favorite, you might look around for them. It looks like Walmart carries them.
Ohhh that’s good to know, thanks! To be honest, I’m a little worried I won’t like it as much as I did originally. I hate when I retry a tea I’d loved and it turns out to not be how I remembered. Hopefully this will be different!
