Finishing this tea from tea-sipper today. It tastes so strongly of sweet mango. I really, really like it.

So the first time I tried this tea, it tasted absolutely amazing. Exactly like its namesake. Every cup after that, however, ended up with a strange underlying…peppery? flavor. So delicious on top, strangeness lurking below. I’ll probably order more sometime next year and play around with it to try to coax it to its original perfection. That first cup was seriously in my top ten ever cups of tea.

Apparently I’ve rated this tea before? I’m pretty sure I’ve never had it, so that’s strange. My previous rating is right, though! It tastes a little bready, but mostly like plain black. I like black tea, but I would’ve liked to taste some of the cookie it’s named for. I added some vanilla, milk, and sugar to spice it up. That made it taste nice, but they would make anything taste nice. Thanks to Cameron B for this one.

I’ve had a pitcher of this in my fridge to take to work this week. I like chamomile, but I definitely prefer it with other things mixed in, so this was perfect! I had to use four teabags when I usually only need three for a pitcher, but that’s my only complaint. The flavor kind of stays in your mouth. I added some sugar, so it tastes mostly sweet and a little minty. It’s mild, but very…thirst-quenching?

Another one from meowster. I don’t love this. I had this back to back with a coconut white that was so much nicer. Like it definitely tastes like coconut, but I don’t love the way it tastes with the black. I just feel that a light flavor such as coconut needs to be with a milder tea. Just my opinion though. It does taste nicer once it’s cooled down.

This one tastes a lot like Capri from August Uncommon, which is a tea I quite enjoy. I think I’ll add some mint the next time I brew this to see if I can push it even more in that direction. The flavor is definitely melon. I’d say the hibiscus is unobtrusive in this blend. Nice tea.

I finally convinced a family member to finish off this tea for me. I really, really don’t like it. Like why would you put rosemary in a strawberry tea? This tea smells bad and it tastes like savory herby strawberries. It’s just confusing. The flavor is so strong and bad. I didn’t read the ingredients before buying this one because I didn’t expect to be tricked with a strawberry tea!

Previously, I gave this one a rating of 30. Now I’ve decided to not include a number since I don’t like savory teas, and this tea is decidedly savory. I liked the flavor of real apple in the black, but the fennel killed me. My family members make fun of me because I try to pawn off teas I don’t like on them, and they’ll ask, “Is it savory?” Because they don’t want to be tricked into a savory tea either. I mean, I saw the ingredient list before I bought it, so I should’ve been ready, but I was not. Now I don’t buy a tea if it includes savory herbs in the ingredients.

I got two ounces of this yummy tea from tea-sipper, and I absolutely demolished them. Green rooibos is definitely the best base for herbal dessert teas since it doesn’t get in the way of the flavors. With this tea, I’d say it didn’t necessarily evoke the flavors it was meant to, but it did taste generically dessert-like and sweet. I’ve loved almost every Simpson & Vail tea I’ve received in exchanges, and I have a big order in my cart ready to go…I just have so much tea, I feel like I’m not allowed to order more. Such inner turmoil!

This tastes mostly just like green tea. It’s pleasant green tea for sure. Grassy, with the tiniest hint of strawberry. Thanks to Cameron B for this one. I’m always on the lookout for a good strawberry tea. I wish this had more strawberry, but it’s a nice green regardless.
