2570 Tasting Notes
I don’t usually allow myself to break into teas the day I receive them, but I’ve been out of decaf Earl grey for so long, and my life was incomplete! I think my mouth is used to the flavor of decaf Paris since I’ve had so much of that…I think I don’t like regular Earl grey as much as I like that. So anyway, this tea is pretty floral, and the black is light. It turned into a nice latte. I’d probably try some other brands before rebuying this one, but it was tasty.
Nice light melon flavor with a touch of mint. I would’ve liked even more mint, but it was still good. I basically drank this one every day, and now it’s gone, so I’ve been adding mint to my various other fruit teas to get my minty fruity fix. I’ve had better teas of this variety, but I could see myself repurchasing this one day.
Years ago, this was actually the first loose leaf tea I ever bought. I frequently tried samples at Teavana, but this is the first one I ever had to have. I ended up with a few bags of this after Teavana closed, and it makes such a tasty, nostalgic treat. I’ve tried other chocolate mint teas since and have never been much of a fan. It might be because the white chocolate goes so much better with mint than other chocolates. So anyway, the tea tastes mostly like a mint candy with some desserty depth underneath. And it leaves a bit of a tingle on your tongue. This is one that definitely gets stale with age, so I guess I’d better hurry up and finish what I have.
I steeped this in hot water for probably too long, then I put it in the fridge for later. What a nice, complex flavor! It tastes like apricot, but it also has depth. I wish I had more of this so I could try a cold brew. This isn’t the sort of tea you’d drink hot (I tried a sip – too weird) but it’s very refreshing cold. Thanks Cameron B!
I got this one from Ost. Today I made a mug of this for my dad. I took a sip and decided to take a bunch more sips before actually handing the mug over…whoops. The flavor is so sweet. It’s light and desserty, slightly nutty. I definitely look forward to drinking more of this!
The most prominent flavor is the tea base. The strawberry flavor is pretty subtle. It does taste nice, but I’d like for the strawberry flavor to be stronger. I’ll have to try this cold next time to see if the flavors are clearer that way. Certainly not bad; I’ve just tasted better.
I really don’t like DavidsTea pumpkin chai, so it was probably a mistake to buy this tea. It has the same weird flavor that I dislike. It’s like… artificial and smokey? Unsure how to describe it. I get absolutely no pumpkin of cheesecake vibes from this. I’ll have to add this to my pile of teas to exchange.
To me, this tea tastes like brown sugar. I really like it! The flavor goes nicely with the mild black tea. I got it in a Christmas sampler last year, and I’ve been considering buying a big tin of it, but I have a lot of caffeinated teas to work through first.
I have heard a lot of good things about this one, so when I went to DAVIDsTEA on vacation over the weekend and discovered the Oh Canada! tea I wanted was discontinued, I bought this one instead. I haven’t tried it yet!
Oh Canada is discontinued?! Well that breaks my heart. I’d say they’re not similar, but they’re both sweet and nice. I hope you like it!
It doesn’t mention anything about it being discontinued or being made an online exclusive on the website…
Well, the person who worked there told me that, at the Palo Alto store. I have no DAVIDsTEAs anywhere in my local area, in podunk Idaho. I did come home and promptly check the website, and… ya, it’s on the website. They certainly did NOT have the tin of it at the Palo Alto store. It’s what the person working there told me, and it was the only tea I wanted to buy at DAVIDs on my trip. _;;
