From Yogi Tea

XPERIENCE OUR EXOTIC CHAI REDBUSH
Welcome to the natural beauty of South Africa. Here, you’ll discover the roots of our Chai Redbush. We combine the spicy flavor of traditional Indian chai with caffeine-free rooibos, meaning “red bush” in Afrikaans. Used for centuries to soothe the central nervous system and to help fight the effects of aging, rooibos is known for its wonderfully sweet and earthy flavor.* We’ve blended it with cardamom seed, cinnamon bark and clove bud. The result? A creative twist on traditional chai. Come experience our Chai Redbush and indulge your senses.

INGREDIENTS
Organic Rooibos Leaf (Redbush), Organic Cardamom Seed, Organic Cinnamon Bark, Organic Ginger Root, Organic Clove Bud, Organic Stevia Leaf.

If I liked chai I’d be more of a fan of this. It’s a nice enough cup but the cinnamon and clove hit pretty hard into the rooibos.

Any chai flavor here kind of gets rid of any rooibos flavor. It’s an odd chai.. it seems like only half the spicy ingredients are here or something. And I also don’t like the stevia leaf in it. It’s not bad, it just could be better.

Being a big fan of Clove, I find this Chai blend very tasty and relaxing. As others have written here, the Clove tends to overpower a bit, but that is the reason I bought this tea, so I’m very happy. In fact, I sometimes add a drop of Clove Oil to boost the scent a bit.

The spices overpower the flavor of the rooibos a bit too much for my liking. It seems to me there’s some cinnamon overload going on, but for cinnamon lovers, that could be a plus!

This is the tea that converted me to rooibos. I believe they have since renamed/discontinued this tea, but it is a very enjoyable, pleasantly sweet and mildly spicy red tea. Very fragrant.

Got this in the mail from TeaEqualsBliss (thank you!). It’s not bad but it’s not my favorite chai. Like others have said, it’s sweet on its own which I’m not a big fan of. (Most Yogi Teas I’ve tried so far have this sweetness, actually.) I’m guessing the Stevia Leaf is the culprit in this one! Other than the sweetness, I really like this one because it doesn’t contain pepper, which most chai teas do. It also doesn’t have any caffeine, which is nice right before bed.

A very warm and spicy chai. Unlike others I’ve had in that it is sweet on its own.

Fairly good. A Bit different that other Chai Teas I have had. A hint of sweetness pops out as you sip.
