I really enjoy licorice in real life, but this tea is just too sickly sweet for me. That being said, It is a pretty solid choice for those who like licorice root teas. You can also taste some other spices like cinnamon, orange, clove, lemon, maybe nutmeg or cardamom, ginger, and something else (citrus rind?)

Modern licorice is actually flavored with anise rather than licorice. I’ve found that I definitely prefer the taste of anise. Most people seem to have a definite preference for one or the other.

I really enjoy licorice pipes and “made with real licorice” things, although I definitely enjoy anise as well. I usually don’t like licorice root or cinnamon bark in tea because I find they has this weird sickly sweet flavour I associate with cough syrup and stevia.

I know what you mean. Licorice root and stevia bother me the same way. I still enjoy cinnamon bark, it can be really sweet, but it reminds me more of honey.

This is one of my favorite bagged teas. I love licorice, and it’s got a nice sweetness to it that doesn’t leave you feeling dried out.

Sipdown (125)!

Somehow this made it into my bag of tea that I took with to Regina, and then home with me. I don’t really know how; I certainly didn’t grab a bag of it from my Mom’s cupboard. Best I can reason is that, since it’s one we were looking at/considering making tea pop with, someone – in an effort to “tidy”, tossed the bag we were looking at for ingredients into my stuff?

Anyway; I drank it – because that’s what you do, right? I wasn’t impressed with it at all though; it reminded me of a crappy, bagged tea version of DT’s Bravissimo, sorta. Mostly it tasted like weak, watery licorice root? And maybe some spices like cardamom. But very unimpressive and flavourful overall.

Something tells me I would definitely not be okay with this one.

Yick. Yick. Yiiiiick.

I hate this stuff. I hate licorice and I hate teas that taste like they already have Dolores-Umbridge amounts of sugar in them without me adding any.

I’m just gonna toss the last bag of this vile stuff. Thank God it’s out of my life.

Flavors: Cinnamon, Licorice, Sweet

LOL back when I was first drinking larger amounts of tea and only had experience with bagged teas I liked this one. And I hate licorice! I’d probably feel differently now a days though.

It’s just the worst.

For a little while now there has been a box of tea sitting in our cupboard that I have been somewhat timid of trying. As it stared me down when I opened the cabinet doors this morning I decided it was time I tried it out. It is spicy and sweet! Such a weird sensation. I don’t mind the flavor but it isn’t something I could drink everyday. It has the same color as apple juice which really throws me off.

Update: Even though I don’t live with my parents anymore now I still find a box of this in their cupboard when I go home.

Since I do not like licorice I am not going to leave a rating but suffice to say the tea has lots of it!

This is my favorite tea. I can add it to chamomile or peppermint. It’s delicious and sweet and cinnamon by itself and it tastes great with these compliments also.

This is one of my favorite herbal teas. It is naturally very sweet and leaves a soothing feeling in the back of your throat. I also feel very relaxed after I drink it. Maybe that is the effect of the licorice.
