Got a bit of this from wegmans to try (from the bulk loose tins). Was just too grassy for me.

I agree with the above. It must be an acquired taste. Not for me.

This is a very nutty and mellow tasting sencha. I had it stored with other tea samples and it seems to have taken on flavors from some of them, so I’m not going to do an in-depth review. I can say though that this one is mellow and a bit sweet, pretty good tasting. I’m getting hints of anise but I think that is from other tea scents that got into it.

I thought I had finished my gyokuro yesterday, but I just realized that I still have 1 oz left from a green tea variety pack I purchased! :) I almost went for the gyokuro again today, but I figured that I better try to make it last. It was a good change going with sencha today…the extra grassiness and bite are enjoyable…and so is the significant difference in price compared to the gyokuro…great everyday tea.

First loose leaf tea (and therefore first Sencha) that I’ve tried. Pleasant, light taste with nice hints of grass. Very inexpensive

This is probably one of my favorite daily green teas right now. Really good stuff! Drink it all the time at work.

Tastes like fresh cut grass in a delicious way. A nice, light green.
