From The NecessiTeas

Who doesn’t love cheesecake? With this tea you can enjoy it anytime without feeling guilty! We have taken Ceylon tea and blended it with strawberry and cheesecake flavors and accented it with strawberries.

The first couple of sips, I could taste the strawberry but not so much on the cheesecake, but by about mid-cup, the cheesecake flavor really developed nicely.

It has a very lovely flavor. It tastes fresh and slightly buttery and berry delicious! YUM!

I haven’t tried this one yet. I’ve had their Strawberry Daiquiri, though. It was “delish”.

LauraR

I’ve had it and need to order some…delish!

TeaEqualsBliss

I would love to try this one too! Anne – you’re killing me! LOL jk

The dry leaf smells like tart strawberries, but the honey colored liquor smells mostly of cheesecake. The taste is a bit thinner than the smell but I think that could be fixed with another minute of steeping or a bit more leaf. Though the taste did get stronger as it cooled.

This is a very pleasant tea that bring to mind Victorian parlors, fine china, and afternoon tea parties in English rose gardens.

OMG, how do these people do it? This tastes just like strawberry cheesecake! No joke! I can pick up the green tea base, and that unmistakeable strawberry cheesecake flavour! The NecessiTeas rock, and so does Jenn for including this one in my care package.

ETA: I even over-steeped this one by accident (shiny thing) and it is still ok! And I love how big the leaves get when steeped!

This might be the first green tea I’ve tried that I like. A really, really nice, sweet strawberry aroma, and a mellow strawberry flavor that overrides the bitterness of the green tea. (Also tried with honey powder, but didn’t affect the sweetness.)

Finished this one off with Dinner – lovely creamcheese like tea but not the best that i’ve had (i miss butiki) but it was good. Just wish it had a little more strawberry!

Sipdown (217)!

Sample comes from VariaTEA!

Tried this one hot a few nights ago, I thought the dry leaf smelled good and I liked the sound of the flavours a fair bit. It just didn’t translate very well into the taste though. The strawberry was pretty pleasant, and sweet/fruity enough for me to feel satisfied with it. It’s the cheesecake notes in the tea that really made a mess of everything. They just didn’t taste good. Part of it was that the profile was really chemical/artificial which caused an uncomfortable disconnect with the strawberry. The rest was that it also just tasted sour? Not like acidic sour, but turned milk sour.

I ended up dumping the majority of the cup.

VariaTEA

Oh no! I didn’t get any of that at all but I am sorry you did.

Well Black Friday certainly hit my wallet hard but I have 6 tea orders (well 5 orders and a sipsby subscription) on route and one order of clothes incoming. With all that tea inbound, I figure I should get to work on my many teas here. Plus, I recently got Strawberry Milk and I thought this would make for a good strawberry milk latte.

Unfortunately, either my tastes have still not returned to normal following last week/weekend’s sinus infection or this is a muted tea. It’s coming off very watered down. The recommended steeping parameter is 5 minutes and I think this only steeped for 4, which would also be part of the issue but this really is lacking flavor and that seems to have happened before with this tea according to previous notes so I am knocking my rating down from 80.

There was someone who really liked this though. One of the puppies. Sometimes I will give them a little bit of the foam to lick off my finger but today as I drank, a little snoot appeared on the other side of my mug and before I could react a little tongue whipped some foam right off the top.

Aww, what a great visual on the puppy tongue! I want to hear more about the puppies (what breed? how old? how many?).

VariaTEA

Hahah well the one sticking her nose in my tea is my sister’s maltese/poodle, Lucky aka Poupée, who is 1.5 years old and then we have a shih tzu named Gizmo who is almost 5 months old. The two are currently having their afternoon siesta.

Adorable!
