This may be one of my new favorite teas. It’s got a lovely rounded cherry flavor, a very slightly (but not unpleasant) sour cherry aroma and a bit of a sweet cherry flavor. There was no bitter aftertaste, and the cherry flavor was just really outstanding.

The stamp on the bag in which the tea was packaged said “Old-Fashioned Apple Pie Blended Tea,” but the tea listed on the website is simply “Apple Pie” (http://mcnultys.com/products/apple-pie). There was certainly an aroma of apple pie both before I brewed the tea and after, as well as notes of cinnamon and (to my mind) a very slight caramel flavor as well. The flavor held up very well even after being brewed; I added vanilla creamer after brewing. No harsh flavors, just a rather gentle apple pie flavor. I brewed my pot for four minutes (suggestion as per the tea company: 3-5 minutes).

The stamp on the bag says “Amorous Almond,” although it’s simply listed as “Almond” on McNulty’s website (http://mcnultys.com/products/almond-black). As with the other McNulty’s flavored black teas that I’ve purchased (the raspberry and the old-fashioned apple pie blended tea), there’s a wonderful aroma both with the loose leaf tea itself and after brewing. I added vanilla creamer to my four-minute brewed almond tea and enjoyed how creamy and marzipan-y the tea tasted.

Such a good tea! I steeped this for four minutes (recommendation: 3-5), which was just strong enough (I tend to like my teas on the stronger side). Strong raspberry aroma, good balanced raspberry flavor – not too light, where it’s simply a light fragrance, but definitely apparent. I added vanilla creamer to my cup, which made the tea taste like raspberry cream tea. Absolutely lovely.

Good, standard black tea. Slight blueberry flavoring adds a bit of sweetness; subtle blueberry aroma is rather nice as well. I’d added some sweet cream creamer, which I think helped bring out the blueberry flavor (and added some creaminess as well).

A good tea, but nothing spectacular. The tea itself had a nice aroma that featured caramel and a bit of nuttiness (possibly some very slight hints of coconut), but these flavors weren’t ones that I could taste much (small hints of caramel). I prefer my black teas with milk, and this one especially; I suspect it would be easy to steep too long, which would lead to potential bitterness. I think this would be a good tea for those who like black tea, but not strongly flavored black teas.

The packing came with no steeping instructions, so I brewed it the way I normally brew black teas (5 minutes, boiling water). The tea ordered was Rain Forest Crunch, but labeled as Tropical Crunch when I received it. The tea was ordered from an Etsy shop: https://www.etsy.com/shop/dreamweavershop.

This was a lovely smelling and tasting tea: Very cinnamony, and definitely smelling of cinnamon bun. Very soft aroma; slightly sweet. This was a seasonal tea I’m very glad I bought.

Not a bad tea, and as a black tea it’s solid, but I didn’t detect any especially strong plummy or cinnamony aromas or flavors. It’s certainly a pretty tea – the sugar crystals do give the loose leaf tea a sparkle – but it didn’t have a strong non-standard-black-tea flavor. I would neither recommend nor not recommend it; I’m ambivalent about this tea. The creamer I added did provide a deeper flavor to the tea. Probably good for people who like flavored black teas but don’t want (or want a break from) strongly flavored black tea.

This was a really rich-smelling tea, one that reminded me of Christmas puddings and dark fruitcake. Nice rounded flavor (I steeped mine for four minutes) and added vanilla creamer, which gave it a deeper flavor with figgy, very slightly plummy undertones.

I had recently tried Adagio’s Caramel Apple tea and had been very pleased with it – I had never tried any type of apple-flavored black tea before, so I decided to try this blend as well. It has a lovely apple aroma, which is very slightly stronger than the cinnamon and caramel aroma (both before being brewed, as well as after, although before being brewed the apple aroma is a bit stronger). It was terrific, and very good with sweet cream or vanilla-flavored creamer; very creamy. I could see this being a really good autumn tea.
