From Teavana

This tea evokes childhood summers in the bright blaze of a blueberry patch. The sun streams into green rooibos with sweet fruity aromas, capturing the essence of summer in berries, grapes, black currants and hibiscus flowers.

Rich notes of blueberry, raisins, and black currants.

Use 1.5-2 tsp of tea per 8oz of water. Heat water to just at boiling (208 degrees/ 98 degrees Celsius) and steep for 5-6 minutes. For stronger flavor, use more tea leaves.

Ingredients: Green rooibos, black chokeberries, raisins, black currants, rose hip peels, beetroot pieces, hibiscus flowers, blueberries, artificial flavoring

I am definitely getting a light blueberry flavor but there is something I don’t like in this tea and I am thinking it’s the beet. I didn’t like Just beet it by Davidstea either and that was my first time trying beet in tea. So I am going to blame it on the beets.

I’ve had this tea a few times before, mostly hot, but also iced when they have it in-store mixed with the Pineapple Kona Pop. I love that version and I’m pretty sure the reason we ended up buying this tea was so we could make that blend at home. The funny thing is, we drink them both separately on occasion but still haven’t taken the time to mix them together! I only have a serving or two left after this cup so I may try that with the rest.

This one has a menthol smell and reminds me of Teavana’s Imperial Acai Blueberry which is a white tea. I’m not sure of the difference between the two other than the addition of the tea to the Imperial Acai Blueberry. Unfortunately, my tea ball is not containing this one very well. There are bits of this all in my cup – long, skinny, hay-like pieces floating about and then sinking to the bottom. The liquid still keeps some of that mentholated aroma but also smells like berries. The flavor is tart and could benefit from some added sweetness. There is also some astringency here. Overall, it’s an okay tea. I’m not a huge fan of it hot but maybe I’ll like it better iced.

This is one of my favorite rooibos teas and perhaps Teavanas best. Despite this I am drinking this tonight because I need to avoid caffeine because my morning starts abysmally early lately. It has the sweet taste of the blueberries as the prominent flavor backed up by the savory character of the rooibos. It is good.

I brewed this once in an 18oz teapot with 3 tsp leaf and boiling water for 5 min.

While this tea has a beautiful deep red color (thanks to the beetroot pieces, I’m guessing), it doesn’t have much of a flavor. A bit of blueberry, and general fruitiness, and a bit of a tang, but it doesn’t taste like much of anything. Even adding honey just made it taste like sweet hot water with slight fruity elements.

Thank you Marzipan! I’m so excited, I couldn’t pick up packages until today. Starting my dive into this box now :)

This smells amazing. I ended up adding sweetener, it really brought out the flavor of this. There is something in addition to the blueberry flavor that I am getting. I don’t know what it is but it makes for a yummy tea! I even think it’s curing my craving for something sweet, perfect!

Drinking this tea while studying my 40+ plant species for my test on Wednesday… and I’m not sure whether I am having more trouble identifying my plants or the flavors in this tea.
One sip, I swear it tastes like red licorice.
Two sips, mmmm, I can taste that rooibos flavor coming through.
Three sips, berry explosion with the finest tinge of tartness.
Definitely no sugar necessary for this tea! The fruit sweetens it right up. The redishpurple color of the steeped tea is absolutely gorgeous. Definitely a perfect tea for reminding you of those hot, summer days. Can’t wait to try it iced.

Teavana is definitely not my favorite place to buy tea but I must admit I really love this one.

Cold brew. Sipdown.

This is much better than the hot brew I made last night! Still slightly disappointed that the woodsy rooibos taste was overshadowing the tart and juicy blueberries though. Sweetened with a touch of agave and it’s so much better! A nice refreshing drink now that SoCal is starting to heat up again.
Had a very nice and pink colour which I loved! It’s in the fridge right now in my Coronado cup thing which I honestly didn’t think I’d actually use.
Once again, thank you MissB for sending me some of this!
